Chapter hundred thirty seven

Aaron walked out of the building after a well-fulfilled day's work and sauntered towards his car. The humid air, held in its depth, a warning sign, he failed to take cognizance of. Nothing, absolutely nothing, had him wrapped around the intimate movements of the cars that enveloped the little street and the loud bang of a pistol.

He instinctively turned to face the company, but none of his guards were on watch. This was an ambush, a trap.

“Let go of me!” He howled at one of the masked men who held him tightly on his wind pipes, strangling the life out of him.

After a while of struggling with the enemy, he gave way to the darkness that quaked his very existence. “He's down.” He heard the gruff voice of his predator, informing the others as they carried him, like a sac of onion, into the van and zoomed off.

All the while, Aaron envisioned the decayed and decomposed body of Gus. He might as well be meted with the same fate.
