Chapter hundred thirty-six

“Helen, behind you!” The shrill scream of Aaron raged on as the piercing sound of the bullet sent her flying to the ground. At least Aaron was safe, she blessed the heavens as she closed her eyes to the excruciating pain.

Helen opened her eyes, with a loud gasp, to the “sleeping handsome,” that laid beside her.

Thank goodness, it was a nightmare. She heaved a sigh of relief. What if it wasn't?

Her subconsciousness made way for doubt. Perhaps, fragments of her memory were returning in bits. She would have to wait until Aaron awakened from his well-deserved slumber.

Helen strolled down the hallway, to Ryan's nursery, she needed to recharge for the day and Ryan was her energy booster.

“Humpty Dumpty sat on the wall…” Emily rhymed along to the subtle nursery lullaby that played in Ryan's room as she prepared him for the day. “Mummy!” Ryan happily beckoned to Helen, who enjoyed the view displayed in front of her. “Good morning Ma'am.” Emily immediately paid her respect, upon recognizing
