114. Lost Trust

Darren's family was also quite surprised by Darren's unpredictable actions, until Mr. Miller said, "Darren, what did Mr. Charlotte give you, that you agreed to release him from prison?"

Darren was silent, he just smiled slightly and left the living room and his father's question just like that. He deliberately did not tell his father about this release, because surely Mr. Miller would oppose it.

Arriving at his room, Darren found his cell phone lying on his bedside table ringing. Darren went over to it, and it turned out to be a phone call from Cloe.

Darren picked it up, "Hello?"

"Hello, Darren, it's Cloe," Cloe said in a soft tone.

"Yes, what's wrong Cloe?" asked Darren in a calm voice, actually Darren knew the reason Cloe was calling him now.

"Umm, it's okay, I just want to say thank you to you, for helping to free my father from prison," replied Cloe who was heard while pulling a chair and looking for a comfortable position to talk to Darren over the phone.
