“Well then,” Stephen said as he chuckled at the brothers. “I think you have more to settle with your brother.”

“Will you allow us the freedom to do as we wish with him?” Manuel asked Stephen.

“Just don’t kill him.” Stephen said, waving him off.

Stephen then paused and looked at John.

“Leave a doctor with them, I want to make sure Jacob doesn’t die.” Stephen told his second-in-command. “Death would be a mercy, and he doesn’t deserve that kind of mercy.”

John nodded as Stephen got up and left.
