The Impossible Task

The next day, when Stephen returned to the office, he was still worried about his grandfather’s plans.

He needed to tell Vanessa the truth before he brought her to have dinner with his grandfather. It didn’t have to be this weekend, but it had to be soon.

Then he had the matter of the party, according to the invitation it was for this friday.

He had to take Vanessa out to buy a dress for the event, one that suited her place as his fiance, not one of those tacky dresses socialites liked to buy.

How he wished he could talk to his sister Amalia about the matter, but he didn’t even know on whose side she stood.

Would she even believe him if they met?

He was pulled from his thoughts when someone called his name.

“Mr. Sy, boss.” It was Andrew Wong, waving his hands, trying to catch his attention.

“Andrew.” Stephen greeted as he straightened himself. “Is something wrong?”

He and his team were busy with a new project and Stephen was trying to figure out a solution when he got distracted.
