On his way back home, Mason contemplated the hatred in Kalix's eyes directed towards him. It was not just a minor dislike for simple reasons, but a deep-seated hatred. Mason delved into his memories, trying to recall anything he had done to Grace or Kalix in the past, but still could not find the reason behind that profound hatred.

He knew what he had done was terrible and deserving of hate, but it did not seem so awful as to make someone despise him so intensely.

The car entered the apartment complex where Mason currently resided. After his previous house was seized, Mason decided to live in this apartment, his own property. As for Jayden, he chose to stay at the main residence of the Dominic family with Old Dominic. Despite seeming selfish, Mason did not object to Jayden for various reasons.
