34. In A Good Mood

With the key in his hand and the car in front of him, it’s rare for Kalix to display a helpless expression. He turns his face to the side, observing Snyder, who looks like a wealthy young master with no bright future, useless, and only knows how to spend his parents’ money.

It’s a stark contrast to when they spoke privately a few moments ago.

“What else? I gave you that car as a friendship gift, go and try it.”

Kalix says nothing, remaining silent and staring at Snyder.

“Oh, I see. You can’t drive the car. Then I’ll teach you.”

“I can,” Kalix responds. “But I don’t know the roads around here.”

Snyder nods understandingly. “Okay, let’s go. I’ll accompany you.”

Inside the car, it’s just the two of them, so Snyder sheds the useless character of the second-generation rich. He asks Kalix, “You’re smart in investments, why bother playing around in university?”
