36. Awkwardness
“I don’t care whether he’s alive or not, I just know I have only my mother in my life.” As soon as Kalix uttered those words, he noticed Mason’s presence a few steps away from their table. Mason, having heard Kalix’s words to some extent, furrowed his rare brows, but the emotion quickly vanished as he approached everyone.

Initially coming to pick up his wife and child while joining the dinner, Mason intentionally arrived late because Mr. Celeste wasn’t with them. However, what he didn’t expect was that his ‘beloved’ son, whom he had forgotten, was also here, sitting at the same table with his wife and child.
