"Glenn!" Hazel shouted in fear, and Glenn instinctively embraced her, shielding Hazel from the bullets aimed at them.

"Haha! How romantic... Truly entertaining," Roesli sneered.

The gunshot rang out instantly, and Glenn tightened his grip around Hazel. For a moment that felt like an eternity, Glenn waited for the piercing pain that never came.

"DROP YOUR WEAPONS!" someone yelled, followed by a barrage of gunshots.

Glenn dragged Hazel against the wall. The atmosphere was chaotic, with bullets flying in every direction and bodies collapsing nearby.

Glenn tried to see what was happening and felt relieved when he saw Benjamin arriving with his troops just in time.
