Xavier furrows his brow. The sudden bright light hitting his face forces him to open his eyes.
"Daddy?"
He rises from his bed, staring blankly at his father.
"Good morning, son!"
Zavier extends his arms, small strides bringing him closer to his child, embracing him tightly.
Xavier, feeling uncomfortable, tries to free himself from the tight hug.
"Why are you here?" Xavier asks bluntly.
Zavier smiles, accustomed to his son's cold remarks. "Your home is my home too. I just miss my dear son."
Xavier rolls his eyes, clearly unimpressed by his father's talk.
"Is he threatening you? Do you want Daddy to help you?" Xavier turns and stares at him intensely.
"Do you think I'm a helpless child clinging to his parents? I can handle everything on my own."
Zavier grins; this is his son. He's pleased to see his grown-up child.
"Why don't you want Daddy to announce as CEO in your own company? Has something happened?" Zavier questions his son.
"That's my decision."
Zavier knows his son is hiding something, but no matter how well Xavier conceals it, Zavier can easily read him.
"What plans do you have?"
Zavier gazes closely at his son, who seems surprised by his inquiry. Quickly, Xavier neutralizes his expression so that Papa can't read him deeper.
"None."
"In your veins runs my cold blood, Xavier. You can't hide anything from me."
Xavier sighs. "Traitors need a slow lesson. It's better to make them suffer than to witness their swift downfall."
As expected, Xavier has a plan.
"Alright. Daddy entrusts everything to you. If you need anything, just tell Daddy."
Xavier nods, feeling awkward being near father after some time without interaction.
"10.15."
Xavier tilts his head, gazing at the middle-aged man about to leave his room. His eyebrows raise, questioning the meaning behind the man's words.
"I've sent the location. You can check it. Dress neatly and cleanly. Don't disappoint me."
Without further explanation, Zavier walks away, leaving his son submerged in numerous questions. However, before completely leaving, Zavier reappears, only showing half of his body at the door.
"Don't forget to turn on your TV. You might like the recent news that's been circulating."
Once again, the middle-aged man leaves Xavier with a multitude of question marks in his head.
Before Xavier can figure out the purpose behind the mentioned 10.15, Zavier adds another responsibility for him.
Trying to ignore it all, Xavier's eyes glance at the wall clock, indicating 9:25 in the morning.
Xavier mutters. Despite his reluctance, his father has made it clear to him.
Reluctantly, Xavier must follow his father's instructions. With a heavy heart, he heads towards the bathroom.
Completing the ritual he should have done.
This morning, Xavier looks charming in a white shirt rolled up to his elbows. Paired with black jeans with slight knee tears, it creates a perfect ensemble on him.
"Good morning, Young Master."
All the servants bow respectfully to their Young Master. Xavier nods, walking towards his dining table with focus.
"Good morning, Young Master."
Zeyn comes to greet him, standing there seemingly unnoticed until now.
However, every morning he waits for his Young Master, ensuring Xavier has had his breakfast.
"Your breakfast, sir."
A servant presents Xavier's morning meal. He nods, starting to eat his breakfast.
"Today, I'll be going out. You stay here. Keep me informed about what happens in the mansion."
"But, Young Master, I..."
"This is my command. I don't expect any objections from you."
Zeyn falls silent, nodding in obedience.
After finishing his breakfast, Xavier walks out. He wears his black jeans jacket, giving him a bachelor-like appearance.
But before Xavier leaves his mansion, his gaze unintentionally falls on the TV in his living room. He remembers his father's words just before leaving, uncertain about which morning news the middle-aged man referred to.
Xavier doesn't have any guesses either.
Click!
Xavier presses the button to turn on the TV.
[Breaking news! Prominent businessman Victor is rumored to be getting close to a rising business girl. They've been spotted together at several major events. Could they be going public soon? We can only wait for their confirmation...]
Beep!
Xavier tightens his grip on the remote. Next to him, Zeyn is prepared in case Xavier erupts.
However, contrary to expectations, Xavier acts nonchalant as if nothing happened.
"Trash news," he mutters faintly.
Xavier shifts his gaze to his subordinate. "Remember my message. Keep me updated on the mansion's status while I'm away."
He instructs before truly departing.
He drives his car at a moderate speed, following every direction indicated by the maps on his phone.
"A restaurant?"
Xavier's thoughts are instantly diverted. No longer dwelling on the trashy games played by his ex-wife and manager in his company.
Now, Xavier only wonders why he's taken to a restaurant in meticulously forced attire.
"Is there a client to meet?"
If what crosses Xavier's mind is true, Zeyn should have informed him about it.
It seems, for once, there's something unrelated to his work.
-Daddy
[I've arrived.]-My Son
[Table number 13. Meet me there.]Xavier turns off his phone screen. He then puts his phone back into his pants pocket.
The man walks with his poker face, his captivating appearance drawing many eyes in the restaurant. Some even openly praise him.
Soon, Xavier spots a middle-aged man waving at him. He immediately approaches the man. Xavier looks puzzled when he sees a small unfamiliar bag on the empty chair.
"Hey! Sit here."
Zavier directs his son to sit beside him, not allowing Xavier to take the empty seat with the small bag in front of it.
"What's wrong with that seat?" Xavier asks.
"Just sit here. You'll find out later."
Xavier gives in. He sits next to his father.
"How was your journey? Quite something, isn't it? I offered you another place, but you insisted on building it in the countryside."
Just as Xavier is about to respond, someone arrives in haste.
"Sorry, Uncle. Mom called suddenly, so it took a while."
Zavier and Xavier both shift their gaze.
"It's okay. Oh yes, since you're here. Let me introduce. This is Uncle's son, Xavier. You'll be staying with him and taking care of him."
"What?!"
Xavier widens his eyes, as if just hearing a crazy idea from his father.
"Farewell, Uncle! Thank you very much!"Xavier closed his eyes, hoping the overwhelming emotions would subside as quickly as possible. The loud voice and forced familiarity with his father made Xavier feel nauseous. Now, without any guilt or shame, the figure took a position next to the steering wheel.Continuing to wave at his father."Come on! I still have to organize my belongings. I really can't wait to see your mansion. Uncle Zavi said your mansion is very beautiful. It's in the rural area."His eyes gleamed as he said all that. While Xavier, still engulfed in emotions, kept his eyes closed, staring sharply at the figure beside him.Rather than being afraid, the figure developed a wide smile on his face."Did you forget how to drive? Come, let's switch positions. I'll take over your spot."Hearing that, Xavier certainly felt provoked. As much as possible, he refrained from acting aggressively, especially now that his father seemed to be watching.Without saying anything, Xavier s
"Candy?" Xavier glanced at the extended hand before him. A children's candy was offered right in front of him. "Do you think I'm a child?" Xavier tried to remain composed. The woman seemed filled with childish thoughts. "I'm sorry... I just wanted to lighten the mood," she said. Xavier gave her a sharp look.Audi appeared saddened and shifted her gaze to the car window beside her. Her eyes sparkled at the sight of the green expanse of rice fields. "Wow! This is truly amazing. I've never seen a place so beautiful." Xavier sighed, redirecting his gaze to the woman looking out the car window. Soon, they entered the grounds near Xavier's mansion. Audi couldn't stop praising the surroundings.Bruk! Xavier stepped out of his car. "Hey! You didn't park your car properly!" Audi yelled, poking her head out of the car window. Xavier seemed indifferent and continued walking into his mansion."So annoying. He should have just put his car in the garage right away," Audi complained. One of the body
At the club, 11:19 PM. The thumping music reverberated throughout the nightlife venue, as people reveled amidst the constant clinking of glasses, toasting to forget their burdens."Am I late?" A hurried woman arrived, having made a prior commitment to the man before her.Not surprisingly, she simply walked towards the chair in front of the beer display."At least not worse than yesterday," he remarked. The woman composed herself, placing her branded handbag on the table before sitting across from the man."Elnora! Elnora! Your performance never disappoints every night," the man praised, a sweet smile on his face. Her tight dress with a slit on the right thigh revealed smooth skin, catching the man's attention."You also look handsome and charming, Victor," she complimented. They exchanged smiles filled with desire, indicating a mutual attraction."Have you taken care of it?" Elnora asked, making Victor furrow his brow in confusion. "Taken care of?" he repeated, attempting to reassure
"Please show your ID card before entering," the guard instructed. Xavier rolled his eyes. It was his first time entering the company area that had been bequeathed to him. He had no clue about such a rule, as Zeyn hadn't mentioned it. Honk! Honk! A driver just honked, and the gate opened wide for him. Xavier frowned, protesting the apparent injustice before him. "Why didn't you ask for the driver's ID card? How can he enter so easily? Is that fair?" Xavier remarked sarcastically. "Look at yourself. You haven't even been seen in this office. You might just be an applicant who may not even get accepted. Follow the rules, or you'll only dream of getting inside," the guard replied. Xavier fell silent, unwilling to speak further. The security guard then allowed another motorcyclist, just like Xavier, to enter, fueling his frustration. Quickly, Xavier searched his work bag for his ID card. However, it seemed he had forgotten to bring it. "Where's the ID card? Shit! I forgot to bring it
"Welcome! Welcome!""My beloved son," Zavier whispered in his child's ear.A radiant smile adorned Zavier's face, but his son remained expressionless."Good morning, Mr. Zavier!" Audi greeted, bowing respectfully.Zavier then shifted his gaze to the woman warmly smiling at him."Good morning, Audi. Thank you for listening to Uncle. Work well, hmm?"Obediently, Audi nodded."Alright! For both of you, welcome. You can start working now. Your desks are in the right corner there, side by side."Zavier conveyed the significant workplace information with authority, mindful of any suspicion, as Xavier had warned him."Thank you, Sir!" Audi expressed her gratitude, bowing once again. While Xavier, feeling unnoticed, simply walked away without offering any greeting."Forgive him, Audi. Uncle's son is always like that," Zavier whispered to the young woman when they faced each other.Audi, understanding the direction of the middle-aged man's conversation, immediately focused her gaze on him."No
Zeyn[The Young Master just needs to take a few more steps forward. There will be a director's nameplate right in front of the door of that dark brown room.]Xavier, who preferred not to involve anyone other than those he knew well, chose to contact Zeyn.Rather than asking and potentially having to interact with the staff around him, Xavier opted for the quick route.Fortunately, Zeyn was on standby with his phone, which lit up every second. He was sure the Master would contact him while the man was in the office."I found him. Let's see what he can do."Xavier grinned. His two feet began to step inside.Tok!Just one knock. Xavier arrived with his usual expressionless face."A courage worth appreciating, partner! You just walked in without caring, whether I gave you permission or not. I get it! Your level is quite challenging."Xavier appeared with crossed arms.Rather than listening to Victor's rant, he was more interested in every corner of the room."Why? Are you jealous of the p
A few minutes earlier, Victor clenched his fist. His emotions hadn't settled yet. His mind continued to replay every move Xavier made, intensifying his feelings."I won't let that jerk get away with it. I'll make him pay for what he's done."Victor tried to calm himself. He couldn't let excessive emotion lead to Xavier taking advantage of the situation. He straightened up, walked around, and returned to sit at his desk. His hand reached for the cell phone, dialing the reception desk.[Good afternoon. This is Baxier's reception.]"I'm Victor. Can you please check who sits near the desk of the new staff in our office?"[Sure, Mr. Victor. Just a moment; I'll check for you.]Victor waited as instructed by the receptionist in his office. He knew there would be results. It was impossible for his efforts to go unanswered after waiting for so long.[Melanie Richardlia, on behalf of Mr. Victor. Ms. Melanie is seated to the right of Mr. Xavier's desk. Anything else I can help you with, Mr. Vict
Xavier glared at Audi with his angry expression. Now, he had no more time to fix everything. He knew bringing that woman into his plans was a wrong decision. She shouldn't have been in his life."Cursed woman! I told you not to disturb my life! You only bring disaster into my life!"Without considering the woman's feelings, Xavier continued to berate Audi.Everything was clear; it was impossible for anyone other than Audi to be the real culprit. The woman clearly had a logical motive for all those disgraceful actions. The frustration enveloping her heart after being scolded and having her food rejected by Xavier made her lose control. She deliberately spilled soda onto the stack of papers that Xavier had prepared."If you can't do good, at least don't let your heart turn dark and harm others in the end!"Xavier's insults pierced through, leaving the cheerful girl feeling dejected. Her heart tightened; she felt she hadn't done anything like what Xavier accused her of."No, Xavier!
