Part 5

A long exhale escaped Xavier's mouth.

It wasn't an easy task for Xavier to directly handle what had been his responsibility for so long.

Stepping out of his comfort zone, pretending to be a simple man, and now having to leave it all behind – it was truly not an easy feat.

Xavier had to let go of many things, including his precious time.

"Have the people in the office and the employees already known who the owner of Baxier Company is?" Xavier asked after relieving his stress.

Xavier just wanted to ensure further details about his long-unattended company.

"The director, Victor, known by the employees, is acknowledged as the rightful owner of Baxier Company. I believe Director Victor is just carrying out his duties. The fact that people recognize him as the owner has no impact on him."

"How sure are you, Zeyn? Are you absolutely sure Victor is as you know him?"

Zeyn lowered his gaze slightly, facing a smirking superior.

Being Xavier's most trusted subordinate, Zeyn understood the meaning behind his boss's smile.

"I believe so, Young Master. I haven't found any anomalies all this time."

"You're too trusting, Zeyn. Sometimes, the enemy is right within our circles. That's what you should remember."

"Sorry, Young Master. This is my mistake."

Zeyn bowed his head. Despite overseeing everything directly, he forgot that modern crime methods, including digital media, could be deceptive.

"No problem, Zeyn. I'm back now, and I'll take care of everything."

Xavier sighed.

He knew that all this happened according to the rules set by the Almighty Creator.

God knew Xavier had to free himself from the conniving woman who only wanted more and would always desire something new, including another man more prosperous than Xavier.

Moreover, the company painstakingly built by Xavier had reached a point where he had to take charge again.

If Xavier didn't intervene soon, deeper regret might befall him.

"Don't tell anyone that I'll be handling Baxier Company again. Including Director Victor."

Xavier grinned as if anticipating a spectacle.

Not only did he want to know about the progress of his company, but Xavier also wanted to inform his subordinates about his relationship with Elnora, now shattered.

After all, his subordinates needed clarification on why he returned to the home he had abandoned for so long.

"I have something to tell you, Zeyn. Not only Zeyn, but I also want to say this to all of you."

After convincing himself for a while, Xavier finally spoke.

"What is it, Young Master?" Zeyn asked, representing the other subordinates.

Xavier fell silent for a moment.

No, Xavier's behavior didn't indicate regret over divorcing Elnora.

He behaved this way because he honestly couldn't be bothered to remember, let alone discuss, the woman he once built a household with.

"From now on, I will live in this house forever."

Xavier expressed after finding a way to momentarily push away his emotions and reluctance to discuss the woman.

"Is something wrong, Young Master? What about Mrs. Elnora? Are you leaving her alone?"

Xavier sighed heavily.

"I have divorced her."

Silence. Xavier's subordinates were genuinely surprised.

Seeing Xavier's displeased expression at the discussion made them choose silence, nodding simultaneously to show their understanding.

Xavier gave a thin smile. He knew their silence indicated their understanding of his situation, the discussion he disliked at that moment.

"I just want you all to know about this divorce. So, there's no reason for any of you to ask why I came back here. I hope you will be willing to stay in this house again."

All of Xavier's subordinates immediately agreed to his request.

Being actively supervised and led by their boss made Xavier's subordinates happy.

They had long awaited the return of the Young Master, just like before. They truly needed him.

"I hope you know what you have to do," Xavier stared at all his subordinates.

Xavier fell silent for a moment. His hand clenched tightly as Elnora's harsh words and actions haunted his thoughts again.

A burning vengeance and intense emotions made the lower part of Xavier's face stiffen, and his gaze sharpened as if ready to kill with just a look.

"From today onwards, no more support should be given to Elnora's boutique. That vile woman doesn't deserve any help from me anymore."

Xavier spoke, emphasizing each word.

Zeyn, understanding his boss's emotions, dared to approach Xavier.

Trying his best to ignore Xavier's scornful glances, Zeyn presented his phone to Xavier.

"There's something I want to show you, Young Master. I'm sorry for being late to give this to you. I only managed to send this screenshot a few days ago. I forgot to send this video."

Xavier furrowed his brow.

Not understanding his trusted subordinate's intention, the other subordinates often referred to Zeyn as Xavier's right-hand man.

Xavier tightly closed his mouth, taking the phone handed to him by his subordinate.

The 30-second video displayed a dark atmosphere with implicit positions of two individuals of opposite genders sitting in a nightclub.

Xavier's mind already painted a picture of who was in the video.

To confirm everything, Xavier played the video on Zeyn's phone.

His hands clenched more tightly as he felt a deep-seated grudge against the two figures in the video.

Xavier had suspected from the beginning that the venomous woman would always crave for more.

Seeking another man more prosperous than Xavier was the goal of Elnora's divorce.

Xavier had repeatedly said that the snake-like woman no longer deserved kindness from him.

He would repay all her actions in kind. As quickly as possible, Xavier wanted the game to begin.

"There's nothing more to discuss about that woman. I've suspected it from the start. It's time I made this decision."

Xavier closed his eyes briefly, trying to control the emotions about to burst from within him.

Xavier just didn't like being played like this. Yet, if that woman knew, Elnora wouldn't be where she is now without Xavier's support.

The ungrateful woman deserved retaliation.

"All of you, I command you to slowly destroy her business. Don't let everything crumble in seconds, but make her feel the suffering first before eventually destroying her completely, as thoroughly as possible."

Xavier asserted with a vengeful tone.

His gaze sharpened, staring straight ahead.

"Understood, Young Master!" all of Xavier's subordinates responded in unison.

"Zeyn! You will lead them all to carry out my orders. Remember, don't let her realize anything. You must ensure she suffers heavily before you finally crush her."

Xavier emphasized with a burning vengeance.
