Part 7

Please, Young Master. Your clothes are ready."

Zeyn stood right next to his superior's bed, and on the bed lay a suit, shirt, and trousers neatly arranged.

Xavier, fresh out of the bathroom, casually drying his hair with a towel, glanced briefly at his assistant.

"Thank you. You can leave now."

Zeyn nodded, ready to exit. However, before the man could leave the room, Xavier's voice stopped him in his tracks.

"Oh, Zeyn. I need a favor. Make sure none of our employees attend Gio's party. Ensure they won't be present at the event."

Without needing further explanation, Zeyn understood Xavier's request. Xavier didn't want his ownership of Baxier Company to be revealed to his employees prematurely.

Xavier aimed for a spectacle, a show that would captivate, not just a mundane announcement without providing an entertaining display.

"Alright, Young Master. I'll ensure everything is under control."

Having said that, Zeyn exited the room, leaving Xavier to prepare with the clothes already laid out.

Xavier gazed at the arranged clothes. A faint smile appeared on his lips; after a long time, he would wear these clothes again.

He put on a white bone-colored shirt, paired with a cream-colored short jacket matching his trousers.

Xavier stopped in front of the wardrobe in his room. He looked at his reflection in the mirror on the wardrobe door.

A thin smile appeared on his face after the cream-colored tie was perfectly in place around his shirt collar.

Anyone seeing him would undoubtedly be captivated. Indeed, Xavier looked entirely different from his usual self. Only specific individuals could recognize the true Xavier.

Ping!

A message notification appeared on his phone. Xavier, walking towards the nightstand, checked the message.

-Gio

[Good evening, Mr. Xavier. I just wanted to remind you that our event will start in about 45 minutes. I hope you won't forget to come here.]

Xavier only read the message through the notification, with no intention of responding.

After getting ready, Xavier left his room.

As Xavier expected, his right-hand man was waiting right outside his door.

The man bowed slightly, a sign of respect to his boss.

"The vehicle is ready downstairs, Young Master."

Zeyn spoke with his head slightly bowed. Hearing this, Xavier nodded and walked ahead, with Zeyn following.

"I've ensured that the guests at Gio's party are only his colleagues. No staff from Baxier Company, including Director Victor, has been invited."

Zeyn conveyed the information displayed on his tablet. Xavier nodded slightly, indicating his understanding.

Not once did this information halt Xavier's steps.

"Good evening, Young Master!" Greetings and salutations echoed from his subordinates as Xavier left his luxurious house.

"Ensure the security of the house, Zeyn, and keep everything under control. I don't want to hear any news during the party."

"Understood, Young Master."

Zeyn quickened his pace, walking ahead of his boss to open the car door for Xavier.

"Please, Young Master."

Zeyn bowed as a sign of respect. The car door swung open wide for his boss to enter.

After making sure Xavier was comfortably seated in the car, Zeyn circled around to sit behind the steering wheel.

"I've sent the address to Mr. Bo. Mr. Bo can check it."

The chauffeur nodded, opened the message, and prepared to start the car to escort his employer.

Just as Xavier's car was about to move, suddenly, another luxurious car stopped directly in front of Xavier's vehicle.

Critt! The sudden sound of brakes grabbed everyone's attention in Xavier's car.

Without needing to ask why, the moment Xavier saw the black car with a Jakarta license plate, he already knew who was inside.

"Sorry, Young Master. I..."

Xavier raised his hand, nodding slowly, indicating that the man didn't need to explain anything.

Without uttering a word, Xavier stepped out of his car. Simultaneously, a middle-aged man who bore a striking resemblance to him also exited the other car.

"Oh, my son. I've missed you so much."

The man extended both his arms, hugging Xavier tightly. He was Zavier—Xavier's father.

"I was genuinely worried about you. I'm glad to see you back here."

Xavier sighed when the second sentence from his father was uttered.

Their embrace started to loosen. A broad smile appeared perfectly on the middle-aged man's face, making Xavier feel more disgusted and continue to roll his eyes lazily.

"I don't need sympathy or anything. I'm fine."

Xavier responded with an irritated expression.

Intentionally, Zavier put on a surprised and clueless expression, which Xavier knew very well, indicating that his father already knew everything.

"Oh, what's happening?"

"Tell Papa about it, my child. Papa will be a good listener for you."

Xavier shifted his gaze, avoiding eye contact.

"No need to pretend you don't know, Dad. You surely know everything."

Zavier, who had been holding back from immediately showing that he knew everything, couldn't restrain himself any longer.

The middle-aged man burst into laughter at that very moment.

"Ha ha... you indeed know what your old man knows, my child."

Zavier laughed, his face looking so happy after seeing his son's current expression.

"Congratulations on your divorce, Son. I never liked your wife from the beginning. I'm happy when you're finally free from that woman."

Zavier hugged his son again, patting his shoulder a few times.

Since Xavier decided to marry Elnora, the middle-aged man had never liked her.

So, it's no wonder that now, Zavier seemed to be the happiest person after hearing the news of the divorce.

"I have to go now to attend the party organized by my colleagues."

Xavier glanced at his watch, making his father nod.

"If there's time later, I'll visit your house. There are many other women much better than that rotten woman. Again, congratulations on your freedom, Son."

After saying all that, Zavier walked away, leaving his son's courtyard.

A long breath escaped Xavier's mouth. Facing his father had truly drained his energy.

Xavier then returned to his car.

"Let's go now, Sir."

Xavier gave the order, immediately acknowledged by his driver. Now, Xavier truly headed to the address specified on Gio's invitation, whether on the printed card or the location shared.

Not taking much time, Xavier finally arrived at a five-star hotel that looked incredibly luxurious. Xavier had to commend Gio's taste, which was truly remarkable in choosing a venue for their business success celebration.

The luxury car was parked among other high-end vehicles.

"We've arrived, Young Master."

After saying so, Zeyn exited first, opening the car door for his boss with a respectful bow.

"Please, Young Master."

Xavier stepped out of his luxurious car, adjusting his tie and jacket. Regardless, he had to look sharp tonight.

Just as Xavier scanned his surroundings, he was startled when he briefly spotted the presence of the woman he despised.

At the same time, Elnora also looked in Xavier's direction, appearing surprised, especially seeing Xavier emerging with a door opened by another man, seemingly subordinate to him.
