Chapter one hundred and seventeen

Gonzalez was panting, his heart racing with adrenaline as he watched the last of the drug traffickers being taken into custody. It had been a long and harrowing day, and he couldn't help but feel a sense of pride in what he and his team had accomplished.

As he turned to head back to his car, he saw a figure leaning against a nearby wall, watching him with interest. It was a man he had never seen before, but there was something familiar about him that made Gonzalez's skin crawl.

"Can I help you?" Gonzalez asked, eyeing the man warily.

The man smiled, revealing a set of yellowed teeth. "Just admiring your handiwork," he said, his voice dripping with sarcasm.
