Chapter thirty five

Secretary's pov

I had to leave, I had to leave town. Go far away, go to where nobody knows my face, go to where nobody knows my name. If I did not run, I would be tempted to run back and try to throw myself into Gonzalez's arms. I missed the attention he showered me with and I will forever live with the guilt of being unable to love a man who was nothing but a gentleman to me. Look how I let something that good out of my hands.

I will come back, better but not for him. When I do come back, I will be coming back to avenge my parents. This was the place to plan and set things in motion. With time, I am sure that he will get over me and move on, besides he had his daughter. That was something that I lacked, a loved one.
