Finally Awake

Delicious bacon and freshly brewed coffee was the first thing that assaulted his senses.

Does that mean that he’s still alive, right? He’s sure as hell there’s no coffee or bacon in heaven.

He’s alive, and Simon was grateful that he is. He remained his eyes closed and uttered a silent prayer for the fourth chance to live. He was not sure who to thank but he’s grateful anyway.

Ever so slowly, Simon opened his eyes. He expected white paints on the walls, but he’s mistaken. He stared at the ceiling, and his mind processed that he’s not in the hospital.

Before he blacked out, he wished that whoever had the heart to help him would not bring him to the hospital, and it happened.

He began to scan the place. It’s a woman’s room, he can tell by the color of the walls and the decorations and curtains.

He tried to move, and he groaned. His ribcage hurt, and realization dawned on him. He was wounded on that part.
