Panic

Federico inhaled a lungful of air to make his nerves calm. This stranger in front of him just told him that Simon was alive. He didn’t even understand what that meant.

Simon left a week ago to meet with Donald, and he hasn’t got any news from him since then. He wondered what happened to that man that caused him to disappear just like that.

“So, you’re telling me that Salvatorre was alive and safe? I don’t quite understand that. Was he ever in danger, in the first place?”

Federico should not easily fall for this woman’s game. She might be from the enemies that they knew.

He checked the gun that was tucked underneath his table. He always had one stashed in his workplace and even in the mansion. It’s better to be safe than sorry.

“He met with an accident last week. That was the reason why he wasn’t not able to contact you. And his phone was lost, I guess he left it in the car when he tried to escape.”
