Colton Computers Corp. Branch - Greenville Mall Surprisingly, Colton’s shop had customers in. They weren’t less, but they also weren’t that many. The counter had only three customers lining up, each with Blackwell’s newest product that was collaborated with Mr. Gazett’s company. Damien watched from afar at a fancy restaurant across the mall with a stern look on his face. He had noticed that from the minutes he had been observing the counter, the line didn’t seem to move a bit. He leaned deeper and squinted his eyes only to realize what was going on in the cashier. “Are they arguing?” he raised his eyebrows while speaking to his newly appointed secretary. The secretary peered too, and sighed. “It seems that they are. Should I inquire what’s going on?” “No.” Damien replied. “I want to see how they handle customers like that.” “The customers have not been behaving erratically though.” she pointed out. “I think this is a problem with their staff. We’ve already been told that their ca
“What is he doing now?” “Currently manning the counter.” the secretary replied to Damien. She was left to observe the performance of the Coltons while Damien had returned back home. “Good.” Damien blankly replied whilst his eyes focused on the running sight of buildings as their car sped up. “I am on the way to the hospital to visit a friend, so I expect you to take of everything whilst I’m shortly gone.” “I will try my best sir.” “Scold him off if that’s what it takes to knock sense in his head.” “I believe scolding off Mr. Colton is not very good idea Sir.” the secretary chuckled. “However, as always, I will do my very best. I will remind him that he is watched. Only the slightest mention of your name makes him cower, after all.” Damien smiled a little. “Alright.” The phone call finally ended. Damien tapped onto the driver then said, “Let’s be quick.” “Roger, Master.” They reached the hospital in late afternoon. It was not a very known hospital, since Damien did not want to
Damien exited the room to follow the man. His other bodyguard looked the hallway to the right while Damien took the one from the left. Walking briskly, he roamed across the halls of the dimly lit hospital corridors. Slipping his hands inside the pockets of his trench coat, he strode calmly– eyed fixated on the entrance to the emergency stairs.Damien reached the door. Saw the shadow silhouette against the wall when he opened the door, and bolted. Damien was quick to trail after the man. He could hear his footsteps smacking against the ground repetitively, and he knew he just had to chase him.The man ran with his life. Damien sprinted after him. However, the man was not in luck. He had descended deeper into the hospital and found himself at a dead end. He tried to shake the padlocked door that would lead him to the corridor of the first floor, but it would not let him.Meanwhile, Damien walked very, very slowly down the stairs and the stranger knew he was doomed forever. The stranger
"Master Damien!" the secretary came running towards him with a worried face. In her hands was a tablet that displayed the local news website. Damien gave the secretary a frown as she approached him. "What is it?""Look at this news about you, sir!"Damien took the tablet from her hands and eyed the article carefully. There he could see pictures of Clarissa Norwood and him when they were still together. Damien gave the secretary a look. "What is this?""It's slander against you, Sir." She replied fearfully. "What should we do?! They're going to damage Blackwell Tech's reputation!""She's trying to start a controversy she cannot win.""She mentioned a woman in the article named Ash Harlock. She says to the public that you and this woman are together. Is this true, sir?""Of course not. " Damien glared at her. "Ash Harlock was my personal bodyguard, so we were always together. However, Ash never showed interest in me of, which I respected.""This is bad, Sir Damien." The secretary shook
The news media were filled with stories about the controversy between Damien and Clarissa. Damien grabbed the remote and changed the channel on the TV, only for it to show another track with Clarissa in it.Eloise and her daughter Lilian were there too, their eyes fixed on the screen with worry. Eloise gave Damien a motherly frown and shook her head. “She’s everywhere on the television. Why has your team never made arrangements with the media company? You could have bribed them to stop. They won’t mind. All the famous people in the industry do it all the time.” “It’s alright.” Damien gave up and placed the remote on the desk behind him. He was leaning against it, arms crossed and eyes narrowed at the screen. “Bribing the media is practical, but I like a little challenge.”“You’ll end up being defeated by this girl though.” Lilian shrugged her shoulders. “I’ve only met with Clarissa Norwood once and I’m going to tell you that we don’t vibe with one another. I don’t think you should be
The court was in session. Damien and his companions were on the left side of the court as the accused while Clarissa was on the right as the defendant. Damien wore a prestige aura as the court proceeded, and even the judge was captured by his captivating features. He was dashing, indeed. Dashing enough to earn everyone’s favor in the room— even some of Clarissa’s followers. However, that alone was not the only reason why Damien was starting to win everyone’s beliefs. It was thanks to his talented lawyers that Damien was able to slowly win the fight. Every time Clarissa’s lawyers made an argument, Damien’s lawyers would counter it so flawlessly that they choked with their own statements. All of a sudden, the proceeding reached its rising conflict. “The defendant claims that Damien tried to seduce her in his home during a business meeting in his private residence at Fraulein. Damien Blackwell lured the woman with his husband into a business deal and invited them into his own house w
“The court is dismissed!”Everyone stood up in their seats and left Clarissa’s side. Clarissa felt like she was surrounded by the terrible gazes of betrayal by her supporters who came into the hearing to give her the moral support she needed, but she only disappointed them. She was at loss for words. Even her lawyers were sorry for her. They hated the fact that Clarissa was not honest even with them.Had she told them that Ash Harlock had a video of her, they could’ve done something to counter it. But even them were in shock. They thought too that she was the victim, so they helped her. But it seemed that they were only humiliated in today’s hearing. One by one, they left her side until Clarissa was the only frozen one in the room. Richard Colton runs towards her and tried to comfort her, but she only slapped his hand away not wanting an ounce of his pity.“We’ll get them again next time.” He whispered to her. “Don’t be discouraged.”“How the fuck are we going to get them next time, Ri
“Any news against Clarissa Norwood?” Damien asked his secretary who trailed after him like a puppy. “Currently, the woman is in prison.”“Her family did not bail her out or anything?”“No sir.” The secretary replied. “It would appear that Ms. Norwood’s family is not in good terms with her. Ms. Clarissa’s fortune is all spent from hiring the lawyers which she lost during the case.” “I see.” Damien was shocked to hear that. “Did you hear anything about the person funding her?”“It would appear that whomever had plans to fund Clarissa Norwood’s allegations against you— has left her alone in prison, sir. Currently, there is no one reaching out to Clarissa Norwood.”“What about Richard? Weren’t they supporting in each other’s cause?”“They were.” The secretary agreed. “But as of now, Richard is yet to be seen visiting Clarissa. It seems that the male wants to save his own face.”“As expected of him.” Damien shrugged his own shoulders. “He never cares unless it’s his own interests at stake
Hi everyone, it's me Sabbiekeku, again! I have made additional edits to the book regarding name-switches, loose ends of the story and inconsistent information. I sincerely apologize for this as I have been very preoccupied during the making of the finale of this book. Anyway, if you may have noticed, the book's title have been changed to 'Revenge of the Unforeseen Mafia Boss' from its former title, 'Secretly A Mafia Boss: Bittersweet Vengeance'. This is one of the major changes that have been implemented to my book with my editor's suggestion and I thought I should inform readers of that. You've come to the end of this book. Thank you for being involved. Sabbiekeku
Hi everyone! It's Sabbiekeku here! I have reviewed and did all the necessary changes all the chapters, and it might be reflected next week. I also noticed that I placed Mr. Hunter, instead of Blackwell for the Chapter ' Wake Up'. Hunter is a different character from a story I am writing and I think I placed his name on accident! (This is what you get for having so many characters in your head...) I usually write my stories during nighttime, as in the morning I have college classes; so it makes me a little bit light-headed. Please pardon me. I also had my midterms this month, so it was quite a challenge. I am so happy for the support that this book had garnered, and I actually didn't expect it. You make so much happy every time you unlock chapter and support me. It really means a lot as an author! BONUS REMARKS: I initially planned to actually kill off Ash. I am a very straightforward fantasy writer and usually, when my characters are engaging in really fatal fights, I really do
Damien's heart sank at the sight of Ash's confusion. He had hoped that she would remember him, but it seemed like she had no recollection of anything that had happened before the accident."I'm Damien," he said, trying to keep his voice steady. "Your husband."Ash furrowed her brow, looking at him with a mix of fear and uncertainty. "Husband?" she repeated as if the word didn't make sense to her.Damien took a deep breath, trying to keep his emotions in check. "Yes," he said, his voice barely above a whisper. "We've been married for years now."Ash's eyes widened in surprise, and she tried to sit up, wincing at the pain in her body. "I don't remember," she said, her voice shaking. "I don't remember anything."Damien took her hand, holding it tightly. "It's okay," he said, trying to sound reassuring. "You've been through a lot. But I'm here for you. I'll help you remember."Over the next few days, Damien spent every moment by Ash's side, trying to help her piece together her memories. H
As Damien slowly opened his eyes, he felt a piercing pain in his head. He tried to move, but his body felt heavy and weak. For a moment, he couldn't remember where he was or what had happened. Then it all came flooding back to him. The gunfight, Mikhail, and the realization that he had killed his own father-in-law. Damien's heart sank as the memories overwhelmed him.He tried to sit up, but his family members urged him to lie back down. "How are you feeling, Damien?" Eloise, asked him softly.Damien shook his head, unable to find the words to describe the pain he was feeling. "What happened?" he managed to ask.Lilian, his cousin, took his hand and gently explained the events that had led up to him being in the hospital. "You were shot, Damien," she said. "The doctors managed to save you, but you were in a coma for a few days."Damien's eyes widened in shock. He couldn't believe that he had been so close to death. He looked around the room and saw the worried faces of his family member
Damien, Ash, and Tyrion were relieved to be out of the warehouse and away from Mikhail's grasp. They were grateful for Clarissa's help in getting them out, but something about her behavior felt off. She seemed distracted, her eyes darting around nervously, and she kept checking her surrounding every few minutes.Damien approached her, asking if everything was okay. "You've been acting weird since we got out of there. Is there something you're not telling us?" he asked.Clarissa shook her head, offering a weak smile. "No, no, everything's fine. I'm just a bit shaken up," she replied.Ash placed a hand on Clarissa's shoulder, offering her comfort. "It's okay, Clarissa. We're all a bit shaken up after what happened. But we're safe now. Let's go home," she said. They started walking towards the car, but Clarissa hesitated. She looked back at the warehouse, then at her phone again. Damien and Ash exchanged a worried glance."Clarissa, come on. We need to get out of here," Damien said, his v
As Damien crouches in the dark corner of his cell, he listens intently to the conversation taking place outside. He hears the triumphant laughter of Mikhail and his men as they celebrate their recent victory over the police force. Damien's mind drifts back to his childhood memories of his mother, Rose, and how she was brutally murdered by Mikhail's men.Mikhail begins to brag about the attack, recounting the details of how they had invaded Rose's home and dragged her out into the streets. He talks about how she had begged for mercy, but they had ignored her pleas and continued to beat her until she lay lifeless on the ground. As Mikhail continues to boast, Tyrion, who was listening all along, became angry. He stands up and starts to move towards the cell door as he knew his father was there. But the guards are quick to notice, and they rush towards him, grabbing him by the arms and throwing him back into the corner.Mikhail turns to face the guards, "Make sure he doesn't cause any tro
Damien tried to ignore the pain in his body as he was thrown into a dark, damp room. He could feel blood trickling down his face from the blows he had received. It was only when the door slammed shut that he realized he was alone with his captors. He could hear footsteps approaching and braced himself for the worst. The door creaked open and in walked Mikhail, a twisted smile on his face."Well, well, well. Look who we have here," Mikhail said, mockingly. "The great Damien, reduced to a bloody mess."Damien gritted his teeth, not wanting to give his captor the satisfaction of seeing him in pain."What do you want from me, Mikhail?" Damien asked, his voice hoarse.Mikhail laughed. "Want? I already have what I want. Your family is in shambles, and now you're here, helpless."Damien's mind raced, thinking of a way out of this situation. He couldn't let Mikhail win."You know, Mikhail, you and I can be in-laws. Think about Ash, your daughter. Think about your grandson. Do you really want t
Damien anxiously waited for any news about his son's whereabouts. The past few days had been a blur of dead ends and false leads, but he refused to give up. He knew he had to find his son before it was too late.As he paced back and forth in his living room, his phone rang. It was Carlton, his friend and the lieutenant of the police department."Damien, I've got some intel for you," Carlton said. "We've been tracking Mikhail's movements and we've got a lead on his location."Damien's heart skipped a beat. "Where is he?""He's holed up in an abandoned warehouse on the outskirts of town. We've got a team ready to move in, but we wanted to let you know first.""Thanks, Carlton. I'll be there."Damien quickly grabbed his jacket and headed out the door. He knew he had to act fast. Mikhail was dangerous, and he wouldn't hesitate to harm his son if he felt threatened. Ash tried to follow him, but Damien told her to stay. "What are you doing? He's my son too! Didn't I warn you that my father
Damien made his way toward the graveyard where his parents were laid to rest. As he approached their graves, he felt a sense of calm wash over him. The sun was setting, casting a warm glow across the field of headstones. He sat down in front of their graves, feeling the cool grass beneath him."Mom, Dad," he began softly, "I know you're not here to answer me, but I need your advice." He took a deep breath, trying to steady his nerves. "Tyrion, our son, has been kidnapped by Mikhail. I'm scared that things might not go as planned during the rescue. I don't know what to do."As he spoke, Ash watched from a nearby corner. She could see the pain and fear in his eyes, but she also saw his strength and determination. She believed in him, even if he didn't believe in himself.Damien continued to talk to his parent's graves, pouring out his heart to them. He shared his worries, his fears, and his hopes for the future. He talked about his love for Ash and their family, and how he was willing to
