The first thing that Damien noticed when the meeting had finished was Ash’s absence. “Where is she?” he asked Noel who was beside him. Noel told him that Ash had left the room a little while at the beginning of the meeting. They shortly left the room and headed to the lobby where they have been told Clarissa had come. There, they saw Ash comforting the lady from the front desk and papers everywhere.“What happened here?” Damien’s cold voice echoed in the lobby causing the other employees passing by the area to freeze. Ash turned around hesitantly and scratched her head before whispering to the lady at the desk to go back to her job while she talked with Damien. The male’s eyes focused on the silver-haired girl who was now approaching him with a semi-conflicted face. “Did a hurricane come here? Why is it so messy?” “I’m sorry, master. But I think you should speak to Clarissa in regard to that.”“What happened?” Damien immediately goes to find the camera footage in the lobby and sa
Clarissa wore a significant dress by the time she arrived in Golden Bull Pavilion. Everyone’s eyes were on her which would soon contribute to the woman’s egoistic nature even more. She wore the same dress that Damien had bought for her so many years ago to the occasion. She arrived and was greeted. Noel was the one who escorted her to the table. The woman was enthralling. With her blonde hair grouped to the side and her busty chest almost bursting from the dress she wore. She flaunted her long legs from the small slit in her dress. A feathered scarf is worn across her neck. Her makeup was nude, too. She walked gracefully as if she was going on the date; but once again, the woman’s outfit did not match tonight’s agenda. She finally saw Damien from afar, where girls were surrounding him. She looked around to look for Ash but she couldn’t find her. Even if she was there or not, it didn’t really matter to her, as long as she could get the opportunity to speak with Damien alone. When Dam
Damien wore his coat and then walked out of the restaurant. Clarissa was left in the restaurant with the same beetroot cheeks. A grin spreads over Ash’s face when she realizes their conversation didn’t go very well. She chuckled, slipped her hands into her pockets as well then leaves.“Damn it!” Clarissa cursed beyond her control that even the other waiters wouldn’t go near her. Even the security guard of the restaurant was unsure of pulling the woman away from the restaurant because he had just seen her have a conversation with Damien.Clarissa held her purse tightly while looking at the bottle of wine Damien left for her. He didn’t even make a remark about the dress she was wearing, it was ridiculous! For her, at least.“T-That bitch heard me beg for his help! I’m sure she is probably laughing at me now!”Meanwhile, Ash was giggling the entire time they left the restaurant. Noel and Damien looked at their bodyguard who was laughing like a creepy maniac to herself. “Get in the car.”
“That’s perfect!” Carl's voice beamed throughout the phone causing Damien to cover his own ears. “I will inform him immediately of your response! But Damien, this will be a very heavy mission. I suggest you don’t take any other missions and focus on this so avoid causality with your men.”“Are you bossing me?” Damien raised an eyebrow. “How will we make money if we temporarily stop business just because we will focus on the President’s request? Don’t be silly, Carl.” “You will be paid a large amount of sum that may cover the cost of those services you will not be accepting. Consider it a bonus.”“Huh.” Damien nods. “A fascinating choice of reward. Well, I cannot allow that, either. My men need to train. If they don’t hold a gun for over a month, they will fall like flies on the day we throw retribution at those bastards.” “Wait… a month?”“Ah yes. I have forgotten to mention it. I am taking a break and I will have a vacation outside the country for a month. I need this detox, or else
“Boss, you should play with the others!” Damien raised his gaze at the employees of his company as some of them invited the male into the volleyball competition. Damien glanced at the scorching sands, sighed, and shook his head. “I’d rather not.”“Why not? Today’s team building week! We should enjoy it! You too, Mr. Noel!” the employee looks at the secretary. “You organized a lot for this event. I think you should try it out!”The secretary scratched his head and shook his head. “Oh no, I’d rather not. I get terrible sunburn that I sometimes don’t get up for weeks.”“Oh no… is that so?” the employee frowns. “Sorry to hear about that. What about you, Boss? Are you joining with us? How about that gentleman over there?” he peered at Carlton who was casually sipping his coconut juice.Carlton stands up and stretches his muscular limbs in the air. The girl employees look at him with blushing faces. They were wondering who the male was as they were not familiar of him being a part of the co
Everyone gathered around the campfire on the shore at night, sharing funny stories at work. The members of the mafia team seemed to blend in well with the employees of BW Tech. Damien watched from afar as his employees from both companies have their fun. Damien gets up from his seat and enjoys his momentary peace. The others invited the male with them to the campfire a while ago. He was exhausted, but joined them for a few minutes so as to not spoil the mood— but eventually returned back to the cottage to further rest. While observing everyone from afar, he spots an unfamiliar man blending into the campfire in the group. Damien knew well who he took to the trip, but this man was not among them. He could be someone else’s family member, as Damien had allowed them to bring them with them, but he would’ve seen this person a while ago. However, he didn’t.The person was sitting around the campfire with them, his eyes fixated on someone— Carlton and Ash. He wasn’t necessarily joining in the
Cold steel pressed against the stranger’s throat as Ash slowly pulls him into the darker and more isolated part of the resort. The man contorts his body several times, but Ash’s grip on him was so secure that even the strongest movement couldn’t make the woman lose her grip on him. Ash then pushed the man against a stony wall and the man falls into the ground gasping for air. The man breathed slowly and then lifted his gaze onto Ash’s azure hues which froze the man for good. She observed the stranger and a devilish smile spread across her face. “At first I didn’t recognize you. Though it gladdens me to see that you’re alive, it pisses me off that you’re here, Pyotr.” Pyotr gnashed his jaw and slowly stood up, but his entire body was failing. It is as if he has been tied onto a big rock, pulling him back. He stared at the girl’s devilish look and feels his body stiffen into a rod when the smirk on her face spreads. “Why the hell are you here?” “Took you a while to recognize me.” Pyo
The next morning, Damien had woken up to a commotion. He could hear people laughing, talking, cheering as well as shouting someone’s name. “Master Damien, Master Damien!” one whispered from his ear causing the male to slowly open his eyes.“Ugh, what..?” he complained whilst rubbing his fatigued eyes and sitting straight.Noel, who had been trying to wake him up since the last twenty minutes, looked at him with panic in his eyes. “Bad news, Sir!”“What is it this time?” Damien grabbed his robe as he was used to sleeping half-naked. “Why is it so loud outside?”“The Coltons are here, sir.” With that, Damien’s mood immediately turned sour. He approached the window of the cottage, slowly pulled it open, and then peeked at the shore. There, he saw most of BW Tech’s employees fawning over the beautiful model, Clarissa and her dashing husband in their beach outfits. They even brought the entire media with them!“What in the world..?” Damien couldn’t believe his eyes. “I thought I had rented
Hi everyone, it's me Sabbiekeku, again! I have made additional edits to the book regarding name-switches, loose ends of the story and inconsistent information. I sincerely apologize for this as I have been very preoccupied during the making of the finale of this book. Anyway, if you may have noticed, the book's title have been changed to 'Revenge of the Unforeseen Mafia Boss' from its former title, 'Secretly A Mafia Boss: Bittersweet Vengeance'. This is one of the major changes that have been implemented to my book with my editor's suggestion and I thought I should inform readers of that. You've come to the end of this book. Thank you for being involved. Sabbiekeku
Hi everyone! It's Sabbiekeku here! I have reviewed and did all the necessary changes all the chapters, and it might be reflected next week. I also noticed that I placed Mr. Hunter, instead of Blackwell for the Chapter ' Wake Up'. Hunter is a different character from a story I am writing and I think I placed his name on accident! (This is what you get for having so many characters in your head...) I usually write my stories during nighttime, as in the morning I have college classes; so it makes me a little bit light-headed. Please pardon me. I also had my midterms this month, so it was quite a challenge. I am so happy for the support that this book had garnered, and I actually didn't expect it. You make so much happy every time you unlock chapter and support me. It really means a lot as an author! BONUS REMARKS: I initially planned to actually kill off Ash. I am a very straightforward fantasy writer and usually, when my characters are engaging in really fatal fights, I really do
Damien's heart sank at the sight of Ash's confusion. He had hoped that she would remember him, but it seemed like she had no recollection of anything that had happened before the accident."I'm Damien," he said, trying to keep his voice steady. "Your husband."Ash furrowed her brow, looking at him with a mix of fear and uncertainty. "Husband?" she repeated as if the word didn't make sense to her.Damien took a deep breath, trying to keep his emotions in check. "Yes," he said, his voice barely above a whisper. "We've been married for years now."Ash's eyes widened in surprise, and she tried to sit up, wincing at the pain in her body. "I don't remember," she said, her voice shaking. "I don't remember anything."Damien took her hand, holding it tightly. "It's okay," he said, trying to sound reassuring. "You've been through a lot. But I'm here for you. I'll help you remember."Over the next few days, Damien spent every moment by Ash's side, trying to help her piece together her memories. H
As Damien slowly opened his eyes, he felt a piercing pain in his head. He tried to move, but his body felt heavy and weak. For a moment, he couldn't remember where he was or what had happened. Then it all came flooding back to him. The gunfight, Mikhail, and the realization that he had killed his own father-in-law. Damien's heart sank as the memories overwhelmed him.He tried to sit up, but his family members urged him to lie back down. "How are you feeling, Damien?" Eloise, asked him softly.Damien shook his head, unable to find the words to describe the pain he was feeling. "What happened?" he managed to ask.Lilian, his cousin, took his hand and gently explained the events that had led up to him being in the hospital. "You were shot, Damien," she said. "The doctors managed to save you, but you were in a coma for a few days."Damien's eyes widened in shock. He couldn't believe that he had been so close to death. He looked around the room and saw the worried faces of his family member
Damien, Ash, and Tyrion were relieved to be out of the warehouse and away from Mikhail's grasp. They were grateful for Clarissa's help in getting them out, but something about her behavior felt off. She seemed distracted, her eyes darting around nervously, and she kept checking her surrounding every few minutes.Damien approached her, asking if everything was okay. "You've been acting weird since we got out of there. Is there something you're not telling us?" he asked.Clarissa shook her head, offering a weak smile. "No, no, everything's fine. I'm just a bit shaken up," she replied.Ash placed a hand on Clarissa's shoulder, offering her comfort. "It's okay, Clarissa. We're all a bit shaken up after what happened. But we're safe now. Let's go home," she said. They started walking towards the car, but Clarissa hesitated. She looked back at the warehouse, then at her phone again. Damien and Ash exchanged a worried glance."Clarissa, come on. We need to get out of here," Damien said, his v
As Damien crouches in the dark corner of his cell, he listens intently to the conversation taking place outside. He hears the triumphant laughter of Mikhail and his men as they celebrate their recent victory over the police force. Damien's mind drifts back to his childhood memories of his mother, Rose, and how she was brutally murdered by Mikhail's men.Mikhail begins to brag about the attack, recounting the details of how they had invaded Rose's home and dragged her out into the streets. He talks about how she had begged for mercy, but they had ignored her pleas and continued to beat her until she lay lifeless on the ground. As Mikhail continues to boast, Tyrion, who was listening all along, became angry. He stands up and starts to move towards the cell door as he knew his father was there. But the guards are quick to notice, and they rush towards him, grabbing him by the arms and throwing him back into the corner.Mikhail turns to face the guards, "Make sure he doesn't cause any tro
Damien tried to ignore the pain in his body as he was thrown into a dark, damp room. He could feel blood trickling down his face from the blows he had received. It was only when the door slammed shut that he realized he was alone with his captors. He could hear footsteps approaching and braced himself for the worst. The door creaked open and in walked Mikhail, a twisted smile on his face."Well, well, well. Look who we have here," Mikhail said, mockingly. "The great Damien, reduced to a bloody mess."Damien gritted his teeth, not wanting to give his captor the satisfaction of seeing him in pain."What do you want from me, Mikhail?" Damien asked, his voice hoarse.Mikhail laughed. "Want? I already have what I want. Your family is in shambles, and now you're here, helpless."Damien's mind raced, thinking of a way out of this situation. He couldn't let Mikhail win."You know, Mikhail, you and I can be in-laws. Think about Ash, your daughter. Think about your grandson. Do you really want t
Damien anxiously waited for any news about his son's whereabouts. The past few days had been a blur of dead ends and false leads, but he refused to give up. He knew he had to find his son before it was too late.As he paced back and forth in his living room, his phone rang. It was Carlton, his friend and the lieutenant of the police department."Damien, I've got some intel for you," Carlton said. "We've been tracking Mikhail's movements and we've got a lead on his location."Damien's heart skipped a beat. "Where is he?""He's holed up in an abandoned warehouse on the outskirts of town. We've got a team ready to move in, but we wanted to let you know first.""Thanks, Carlton. I'll be there."Damien quickly grabbed his jacket and headed out the door. He knew he had to act fast. Mikhail was dangerous, and he wouldn't hesitate to harm his son if he felt threatened. Ash tried to follow him, but Damien told her to stay. "What are you doing? He's my son too! Didn't I warn you that my father
Damien made his way toward the graveyard where his parents were laid to rest. As he approached their graves, he felt a sense of calm wash over him. The sun was setting, casting a warm glow across the field of headstones. He sat down in front of their graves, feeling the cool grass beneath him."Mom, Dad," he began softly, "I know you're not here to answer me, but I need your advice." He took a deep breath, trying to steady his nerves. "Tyrion, our son, has been kidnapped by Mikhail. I'm scared that things might not go as planned during the rescue. I don't know what to do."As he spoke, Ash watched from a nearby corner. She could see the pain and fear in his eyes, but she also saw his strength and determination. She believed in him, even if he didn't believe in himself.Damien continued to talk to his parent's graves, pouring out his heart to them. He shared his worries, his fears, and his hopes for the future. He talked about his love for Ash and their family, and how he was willing to
