“What did Carl tell you?” Ash asked Damien as they were about to enter the car. Their work in the Auction was done and the money for their service was already credited into their accounts. Ash was ready to take her master back home. “You guys sure took your sweet time catching up with one another that I didn’t even get the time to talk with Carl myself. What were you talking about, anyway?”

Damien pulled his tie away and removed his blazer then closed his eyes as he relaxed at his seat. “Nothing much.”

“He looked serious and I am not stupid, Master.” She turned her head to look at him and glared. “Did he ask you to do something different again?”

“It is none of your concern.” He coldly responded to her. “Just drive.”

Ash pouted and placed her hand on the wheel.

“A new commission from him. I’d say your officer friend has become bolder and bolder with every referral he makes.”

“What is it this time?”

“Drug lords.”
