A young girl heard the sound of a gun ringing through the entire house. Being overly familiar with what it was, she opened her eyes wide and quickly jumped out of bed. She tiptoed slowly towards her door and listened closely to the sound of whispering in the hallways, people that didn’t speak her dialect. Her chest raced further. Reaching out for a small knife from her drawer, the eldest daughter of the Vasiliev family crept beside the door, waiting for someone to come inside her bedroom. She gripped the blade tightly as she could hear them stopping in front of her room. They started picking the lock of her room. “Faster! We need to kill her too!”“Boss didn’t say anything about killing their family!”“What the fuck are you talking about? She is just like any other Vasiliev! Did you hear? This particular one is a great fighter—“A knife causes him to cut off his words. The talking Vigilante immediately dropped to the ground with a hole in his stomach, making him dead. His other frie
The young girl woke up in a hospital bed. Wires lodged all throughout her body. The walls were so white that they almost blinded her. At first, she didn’t realize where exactly she was, but upon seeing the machines all around her, she immediately knew where it was. It was the same room the people in white coats took her siblings when their condition grew worse when they’re ill. That’s all she knew. She panicked, frantically looking around her surroundings, worried about the fate of her other siblings, but no matter where she looked, she couldn’t find them. “You’re awake,” a gentle voice of a woman was the first sound she heard. A woman dressed in a lavish fuschia dress with white fur suddenly emerged from the foot of her bed to her side near the machine. Ash lifted her eyes slowly, clenching her jaw slowly at the person before her. “Who’re you?” “My name is Rose.” the woman introduced to her, then sat on the space beside her bed, “And you are Anastachya Vasiliev. Daughter of Yulia
People cheered around the ring as a small girl was constantly being beaten up by a huge man whose arms were thrice the size of her thigh. Blood splurted everywhere as the girl flew from all across the ring. The people chanted the fighter's name as they took indulgence to see the girl being beaten to a pulp. The fighter laughed maniacally, throwing blow after blow against her stomach and skull. If she were any kid, she would've died at the moment he punched her head. If she was some little girl who knew nothing about fighting— her neck would've been twisted past Sunday, and she would've laid on the floor lifeless. But then again, she was special. All of a sudden, the fighter saw a faint glimmer of death in her eyes as if something flashed something uncanny between his sight. A face of a girl who wanted to skin him alive. "What the fuck are you looking at, hm?" he pushed her around, and the young girl just allowed him to. She was but a leaf, so light and really crum
The crowd roared as Ash made her way to the center of the fighting ring. She was just a kid, but she was already an expert fighter, having killed several adult men who had dared to challenge her. Her reputation preceded her, and many in the crowd were both afraid and awestruck by her prowess. But Ash didn't care about their fear or admiration. She was here to win, to prove that she was the best. And as she stood in the center of the ring, she focused all her attention on her opponent, a burly man with bulging muscles and a confident smirk. The man charged at her, throwing a punch that Ash dodged with ease. She countered with a swift kick to his chest, knocking him back several steps. The crowd gasped, impressed by her agility and speed. But the man wasn't deterred. He came at her again, this time with a flurry of punches and kicks that Ash deftly evaded. She waited for the right moment, and then struck him with a powerful blow that sent him crashing to the ground. The crowd erupted int
Ash sat by her little brother's bedside, her hand resting on his small chest as she watched him breathe. He looked so peaceful, so innocent, and Ash felt a wave of sadness wash over her as she realized that she was about to leave him.She looked up at Rose and Tyrell, who were standing at the foot of the bed, watching her with gentle eyes."We have to go, Ash," Rose said softly. "The doctors will take care of him, and we'll make sure that he gets the best care possible."Ash nodded, her eyes filling with tears. It was hard to leave her little brother, but she knew that he was in good hands.Rose and Tyrell helped her to her feet, and then led her out of the hospital. They climbed into a waiting car, and soon they were speeding towards the airport. As they drove, Rose and Tyrell explained their plan to Ash. They were taking her to the States, where they had a home and a life waiting for her. They would take care of her, provide for her, and help her build a new life.“Since you will be
In the heart of a bustling city stood a small, modest building that was home to a group of children who had been left without parents. It was an orphanage, a place where these young souls sought refuge from a world that had abandoned them. The building was surrounded by a lush garden that the children tended to, with bright flowers and leafy trees that provided a sense of calm and tranquility amidst the chaos of the city. Inside, the rooms were simple but cozy, filled with bunk beds and personal belongings that gave each child a sense of belonging. The children themselves were a lively bunch, with bright eyes and infectious laughter that filled the halls. Some were shy and withdrawn, while others were boisterous and outgoing, but they all shared a bond that went beyond blood or heritage. They were a family, united by their shared experiences and the love and care of the staff who looked after them. Amongst these children was one named Damien. As Damien walked around the orp
As Damien grew older, he began to yearn for a family of his own. He had seen many kids come and go from the orphanage, but he had never been chosen by any prospective parents. That is, until one day when a couple came to visit the orphanage and took an interest in Damien. They spent the day with him, asking him about his interests and dreams. They seemed to genuinely care about him, and for the first time in a long time, Damien allowed himself to hope. At the end of the day, they told him they would think about adopting him.Damien waited anxiously for the rest of the week, but the couple never came back. He asked the nuns if they had heard anything, but they told him they had no updates. As the days turned into weeks and then into months, Damien began to feel a growing sense of anger and frustration. One day, he decided he had had enough. He stormed into the nuns' office and demanded an explanation for why the couple had never come back for him."Why wasn't I chosen?" he asked, his v
Damien made his way toward the graveyard where his parents were laid to rest. As he approached their graves, he felt a sense of calm wash over him. The sun was setting, casting a warm glow across the field of headstones. He sat down in front of their graves, feeling the cool grass beneath him."Mom, Dad," he began softly, "I know you're not here to answer me, but I need your advice." He took a deep breath, trying to steady his nerves. "Tyrion, our son, has been kidnapped by Mikhail. I'm scared that things might not go as planned during the rescue. I don't know what to do."As he spoke, Ash watched from a nearby corner. She could see the pain and fear in his eyes, but she also saw his strength and determination. She believed in him, even if he didn't believe in himself.Damien continued to talk to his parent's graves, pouring out his heart to them. He shared his worries, his fears, and his hopes for the future. He talked about his love for Ash and their family, and how he was willing to
Hi everyone, it's me Sabbiekeku, again! I have made additional edits to the book regarding name-switches, loose ends of the story and inconsistent information. I sincerely apologize for this as I have been very preoccupied during the making of the finale of this book. Anyway, if you may have noticed, the book's title have been changed to 'Revenge of the Unforeseen Mafia Boss' from its former title, 'Secretly A Mafia Boss: Bittersweet Vengeance'. This is one of the major changes that have been implemented to my book with my editor's suggestion and I thought I should inform readers of that. You've come to the end of this book. Thank you for being involved. Sabbiekeku
Hi everyone! It's Sabbiekeku here! I have reviewed and did all the necessary changes all the chapters, and it might be reflected next week. I also noticed that I placed Mr. Hunter, instead of Blackwell for the Chapter ' Wake Up'. Hunter is a different character from a story I am writing and I think I placed his name on accident! (This is what you get for having so many characters in your head...) I usually write my stories during nighttime, as in the morning I have college classes; so it makes me a little bit light-headed. Please pardon me. I also had my midterms this month, so it was quite a challenge. I am so happy for the support that this book had garnered, and I actually didn't expect it. You make so much happy every time you unlock chapter and support me. It really means a lot as an author! BONUS REMARKS: I initially planned to actually kill off Ash. I am a very straightforward fantasy writer and usually, when my characters are engaging in really fatal fights, I really do
Damien's heart sank at the sight of Ash's confusion. He had hoped that she would remember him, but it seemed like she had no recollection of anything that had happened before the accident."I'm Damien," he said, trying to keep his voice steady. "Your husband."Ash furrowed her brow, looking at him with a mix of fear and uncertainty. "Husband?" she repeated as if the word didn't make sense to her.Damien took a deep breath, trying to keep his emotions in check. "Yes," he said, his voice barely above a whisper. "We've been married for years now."Ash's eyes widened in surprise, and she tried to sit up, wincing at the pain in her body. "I don't remember," she said, her voice shaking. "I don't remember anything."Damien took her hand, holding it tightly. "It's okay," he said, trying to sound reassuring. "You've been through a lot. But I'm here for you. I'll help you remember."Over the next few days, Damien spent every moment by Ash's side, trying to help her piece together her memories. H
As Damien slowly opened his eyes, he felt a piercing pain in his head. He tried to move, but his body felt heavy and weak. For a moment, he couldn't remember where he was or what had happened. Then it all came flooding back to him. The gunfight, Mikhail, and the realization that he had killed his own father-in-law. Damien's heart sank as the memories overwhelmed him.He tried to sit up, but his family members urged him to lie back down. "How are you feeling, Damien?" Eloise, asked him softly.Damien shook his head, unable to find the words to describe the pain he was feeling. "What happened?" he managed to ask.Lilian, his cousin, took his hand and gently explained the events that had led up to him being in the hospital. "You were shot, Damien," she said. "The doctors managed to save you, but you were in a coma for a few days."Damien's eyes widened in shock. He couldn't believe that he had been so close to death. He looked around the room and saw the worried faces of his family member
Damien, Ash, and Tyrion were relieved to be out of the warehouse and away from Mikhail's grasp. They were grateful for Clarissa's help in getting them out, but something about her behavior felt off. She seemed distracted, her eyes darting around nervously, and she kept checking her surrounding every few minutes.Damien approached her, asking if everything was okay. "You've been acting weird since we got out of there. Is there something you're not telling us?" he asked.Clarissa shook her head, offering a weak smile. "No, no, everything's fine. I'm just a bit shaken up," she replied.Ash placed a hand on Clarissa's shoulder, offering her comfort. "It's okay, Clarissa. We're all a bit shaken up after what happened. But we're safe now. Let's go home," she said. They started walking towards the car, but Clarissa hesitated. She looked back at the warehouse, then at her phone again. Damien and Ash exchanged a worried glance."Clarissa, come on. We need to get out of here," Damien said, his v
As Damien crouches in the dark corner of his cell, he listens intently to the conversation taking place outside. He hears the triumphant laughter of Mikhail and his men as they celebrate their recent victory over the police force. Damien's mind drifts back to his childhood memories of his mother, Rose, and how she was brutally murdered by Mikhail's men.Mikhail begins to brag about the attack, recounting the details of how they had invaded Rose's home and dragged her out into the streets. He talks about how she had begged for mercy, but they had ignored her pleas and continued to beat her until she lay lifeless on the ground. As Mikhail continues to boast, Tyrion, who was listening all along, became angry. He stands up and starts to move towards the cell door as he knew his father was there. But the guards are quick to notice, and they rush towards him, grabbing him by the arms and throwing him back into the corner.Mikhail turns to face the guards, "Make sure he doesn't cause any tro
Damien tried to ignore the pain in his body as he was thrown into a dark, damp room. He could feel blood trickling down his face from the blows he had received. It was only when the door slammed shut that he realized he was alone with his captors. He could hear footsteps approaching and braced himself for the worst. The door creaked open and in walked Mikhail, a twisted smile on his face."Well, well, well. Look who we have here," Mikhail said, mockingly. "The great Damien, reduced to a bloody mess."Damien gritted his teeth, not wanting to give his captor the satisfaction of seeing him in pain."What do you want from me, Mikhail?" Damien asked, his voice hoarse.Mikhail laughed. "Want? I already have what I want. Your family is in shambles, and now you're here, helpless."Damien's mind raced, thinking of a way out of this situation. He couldn't let Mikhail win."You know, Mikhail, you and I can be in-laws. Think about Ash, your daughter. Think about your grandson. Do you really want t
Damien anxiously waited for any news about his son's whereabouts. The past few days had been a blur of dead ends and false leads, but he refused to give up. He knew he had to find his son before it was too late.As he paced back and forth in his living room, his phone rang. It was Carlton, his friend and the lieutenant of the police department."Damien, I've got some intel for you," Carlton said. "We've been tracking Mikhail's movements and we've got a lead on his location."Damien's heart skipped a beat. "Where is he?""He's holed up in an abandoned warehouse on the outskirts of town. We've got a team ready to move in, but we wanted to let you know first.""Thanks, Carlton. I'll be there."Damien quickly grabbed his jacket and headed out the door. He knew he had to act fast. Mikhail was dangerous, and he wouldn't hesitate to harm his son if he felt threatened. Ash tried to follow him, but Damien told her to stay. "What are you doing? He's my son too! Didn't I warn you that my father
