Uriel's Auction Ended
Damien was able to enter the building with ease. The men's eyes were fixated on him, but he remained calm knowing that if he makes the wrong move, these men will turn their attentions to him, instead. Noel was stiff, however, walking behind his master like a terrified dog. “Breathe, Noel,” Damien whispered to him. “You don’t want to be shot in the thigh twice, do you?”

Noel took a deep breath and eased his shoulders. Damien gave him a pat on the back, his eyes still directed on the path before them, observing.

“I’ve never got to thank you for saving my life.” Damien brought it up. “I should tell you in advance that I am grateful you did that.”

“W-Will I get a raise, sir?”

Damien chuckled. “Bold, aren’t we? It’s too early for you to get a raise. I’m pretty sure being involved with a mafia was already stated in your contract, right? Or did you not read it well?”

Noel gulped. “When I signed the contract I was aware I was going to get shot at some point.”

“So…” Damien turned at him again
