Who Should Pay

Damien returned home with a huge bruise on his face. When Ash sees this, she is immediately drenched with worry.

“Damien what the heck?” Ash rushed towards him and observed the wound on his face. “Who did this?!”

“Don’t worry.” He replied to her gently. “It wasn’t the Sumerkis who did this to me.”

“Then who did?”

“Richard.” He loosened his tie and ushered the woman to sit with him on the couch. “I had a fight with him earlier. He couldn’t help it.”

“Your cheek is swelling.” Ash sighed at him. “Was he the one who punched you first?”

“Yes.” Damien couldn’t tell her that he was defending her from Richard’s slander. “This wound is nothing. His fists were weak. I felt nothing at all.”

“Stop being cocky.” Ash chuckled at him and then took a first aid kit from a nearby drawer. “So if I pressed it, it wouldn’t hurt at all?”

“I’d rather you don’t.” Damien shrugged. “How are you feeling?”

“I’m good.” Ash smiled at him.
