The cab driver dropped him off in front of Wendy's at exactly 8:15.

As usual, the crowd was hopping on a Thursday night with bikers and stoners loitering in the corner. The can driver's eyes darted around nervously, visibly uncomfortable in this kind of setting. “Your fare is $49.99, sir.”

The man's legs bounced still staring outside his window as he waited for Clement to hand over his money.

Withdrawing a $100 bill from his wallet discreetly, Clement handed it over to the man with a smile. “Keep the change.”

Gratitude flooded the man's features, his face lighting up. “Thank you so much, sir! Do you need me to wait up for you?”

Just then a couple of the bikers started kicking around trash cans, the contents spilling out as they joked around with the tin roughly. The car gulped, fear flashing through his face.

He must be having second thoughts about his offer. Clement decided to give him an out.

“It's fine, you can go. I'll probably be here for a little while.” Clement waved him off,
