Chapter 40

The shrill ring of his alarm woke him up.

“Urghhhh…” Sean groaned, covering his ears with an extra pillow while he blindly reached out to stop the alarm from buzzing.

It took a couple of tries but he finally got the annoying sound to stop.

It took another five minutes before Sean was able to convince his body that it was time to get out of bed.

Then after splashing some cold water on his face, it seemed to jolt his brain.

Sean went through his systematic daily routine. Shower, brush, exfoliate, and then padded downstairs.

A simple breakfast of bread and toast with hot coffee got him ready for the day.

Once he got to the parking lots, he tossed his keys to the security guard and walked up the stairs and straight into the elevator. The minute he stepped foot into this building, his brain was already working overtime, eager to pick up from where he left off yesterday.

The elevator doors opened and he walked, heading straight for his office.
