Chapter 3

“Do you think I am kidding? I am going to show you what stuff I am made of. Just promise me that once I get the wine you promise to help me with the revenge of Alessia?” Pharrell said, keeping his hands beneath his thighs.

“You know what, you are boring. But anyway I will just give you a chance to rediculate yourself. Go to the counter and let’s see what happens.” As soon as Mia mentioned it, Pharrell left for the counter.

Reaching there, the lady in charge of the restaurant was registering the company’s data in her laptop. Pharrell cleared his throat which caused the lady to stop what she was doing and glared at him.

“What can I do for you, boy?” She asked, then returned to what she was doing.

“I don’t think that is a good way to address your customers. Anyway, can I see the catalog for your most expensive wines?” He asked, his one leg slightly raised above the other.

“And what do you want to do with our catalog?” The sales lady asked, still concentrating on her laptop.

“Is there two reason why a client would demand for the catolog? Of course I’ll like to get a bottle of wine.” Pharrell said provocatively.

“Are you sure you are fine? Or are you drunk?” The lady asked, scanning him from head to toe.

Looking at him, he was wearing a second hand ripped Jean that looked dirty and a light-coloured shirt, accompanied with a pair of convex shoes. His hair was as well shabby. What did a guy dressed in those clothes want to do with the catalog of the most expensive wines? She thought.

“I’m very okay, why don’t you show me the catalog? I would like to order some.” He snapped.

His initial plan was to order just for Mia. Seeing the other customers who were mocking him, he decided to command some of them. The system stated he could spend on anyone apart from him. Why not chill?

“I see your type. You probably got paid and you are looking forward to hyping yourself. Well, this place is not for your kind.” The sales lady said, but Pharrell insisted on seeing the catalog and price tag. In his words ‘I won’t leave till you show me the catalog’ The crowd was now creating more tension and this triggered her to shove the catalog to him.

Once he opened it, he was amazed to see that the most expensive wine was something he could command for all the dudes seated.

“Serve each and everyone here a bottle of Tempranillo. I’ll endorse the bills.” Pharrell stated, his voice growing softer.

“You must be mad if you think I am going to consider your request. You better get out of here, cause we don’t have time for you.”

“No, please don’t let him go, he is quite entertaining. I love the fact he can dream big.” A client said in the middle of the hall.

“What are you still doing there? Calculate the number of people and serve them. Give me the bills and I’ll fucking pay now.” Pharrell insisted.

“Are you crazy dude, do you have an idea of how much that is going to cost?”

“That is none of your business. Just calculate the price and let me know.” Pharrell hissed.

While the lady took out her calculator to calculate everything, the customers were carefully watching to see what was going to happen after next.

“This is your bill, Mr. man.” The lady wrote everything on paper and handed it over to him.

“Alright, this is my card, deduct the money. You can collect yours too.” He said,

Though she was skeptical, she managed to take the card from him. She swiped the card and to her greatest surprise, he had enough money in his card.

“Payment successful.” She confirmed, making the clients wide open their eyes and mouths.

The person who couldn’t believe it was Mia. She could literally put her hands into fire just to affirm that Pharrell had no money in his account. Now she looked more than stupid before him.

“Serve the lady in the green gown first before the others.” He was referring to Mia.

After Mia was served, Pharrell joined her table. Clicking his lips, he was waiting for her to say something.

“Pharrell, I am so sorry that I didn’t believe in you. I promise to help you take your revenge on Alessia.” She said, her voice growing softer. From her approach, you could tell she was talking to some god.

“I appreciate it. Do enjoy your wine.” He said, his lips curling up in a smile.

“Thank you Sir,” Those were the next set of words uttered by everyone in the hall.

“You are all welcome.” He coldly stated.

While he watched the customers and Mia herself enjoying their wines, he received another alert from the system.

[Your two hours would soon elapse and you still have some money left with you. I don’t need to remind you if you decide to play safe.]

Pharrell’s eyes widened at the system’s remark. He glared at his watch and he was left with just forty-five minutes before the end of the two hours.

Looking at Mia, something popped into his head. He wiped his chin with his palm then proceeded to ask.

“Would you like to get some new clothes and shoes? I’m talking about shopping in one of the biggest boutiques in town.” He said and instantly, Mia’s jaws swelled up in a brilliant smile.

“Yes of course. I would love to do this with you. When do you intend to take me shopping so I know when to prepare.” She asked, still smiling.

“Now. I want to take you out now.” He uttered.

“Oh wow. Can I finish my wine first?” She asked, but Pharrell declined. He said they were going to do this some other time.

She quickly dropped what she had in hand and followed him to the fashion store. On their arrival, Pharrell was denied access. His ripped clothes made it hard for the security guards to let him slide just like that.

“He has money, trust me when I say that. Pharrell, please show them what you are worth.” Mia said to the securities.

“Do you think a man like him can have money to shop here? This place is damn expensive.”

“Believe me when I say he has the money. He has the bucks, dear securities.” After a series of discussions, the guards finally allowed them to enter.

They got to the most expensive area, and they started picking clothes. Mia did choose all the later designs in the house.

As they were shopping and discussing, Pharrell started resenting a perfume in the area. He could tell that perfume belonged to someone he knew. Someone he had spent most of his time with.

Out of curiosity, he made a U turn to take a look at the person wearing the perfume. Behold, he was faced with Alessia.

“You again? Are you perhaps stalking me? Didn’t I tell you it was finished already?” Without waiting for Pharrell to express himself, she ridge to the counter and made the sales lady understand that there was someone stalking her.

In a few minutes, she was back with the sales lady behind her.

“This is him here, he is stalking me. Please ask your guards to walk him out.” Alessia burst out.

“Young man, can you tell me what you are doing In our magazine?” The lady asked politely.

“I am here because I want to shop.” He said but Alessia and her new boyfriend began laughing.

“Lies, I know that you are here to spy on my woman. Madam, please ask him to leave or else we are going to leave for the next shop.” Alessia’s boyfriend warned.

Mia was behind and could hear voices, she stepped out of the closet and began approaching. “What’s wrong here?” She asked, without seeing the faces.

“You?!”
