Chapter 7

“Woman, I don’t permit you to talk to me. I’m not part of them, so I won’t watch you use that tone on me.” Pharrell said pointedly.

“To begin with, I’m called Nathalia.” She said before whirling around, “I won’t also advice you to call me a mother. Because I don’t look like the person who birth you.” She exclaimed bitterly.

“Alright Nathalia, would you please allow me out of your issues, because I ain’t part of them. I’m no one’s brother. I only came here to have a good time.” Pharrell insisted.

Nathalia felt hurt for talking to him making use of that tone. It didn’t cross her mind that Pharrell was on his own. Seeing him focusing on them, she lose patient and started yelling at him as if he was part of the show.

“I’m sorry that I had to mix you with everything that was going on. Can you please put this at the back of your mind?” She assembled her hands together before demanding

With no response coming from Pharrell, she parted her lips and started talking again. “Okay, I do understand that you are angry, but please is there anything I can do to change your mood?” Nathalia proceeded to ask.

Yet, the ignorance continued. Pharrell was occupied by something else. “Okay, let me take you out for shopping. Somewhere else though. What do you think?”

Is it at this moment that Pharrell diverted his attention to her. “Are you serious about that?” With a mile smile written across his lips, he questioned.

“Yes, I am ready to do whatever it takes just for you to get back your joy. I understand that what I said wasn’t normal. So yes, I’ll do it.” Nathalia stated, taking a few steps towards Pharrell. She locked hands with him and they started walking. Reaching where Donald was, she pushed him and continued.

“Darling where are you going? You asked me to slap her and you were going to forgive me. Now where are you going with this man?” Donald started creeping just to meet up with his wife. She didn’t pay attention to him, she had her objective in mind already.

At the shop, Pharrell’s eyes were roaming around in search of what he wanted for himself. Nathalia’s sultry voice jolted him out of his thoughts.

“Have you found out what you wanted for yourself? Pick anything and I’m gonna buy it for you.” She said.

“Thanks, that’s kind of you, but I really don’t want to make you spend alot.” Pharrell said honestly.

“Oh please, you shouldn’t say such. I have enough money. Just get anything you like and I’ll get the bills sorted out.” She said. She didn’t have enough time to monitor what he was going to pick as her phone started buzzing in her bag.

“Excuse me, I’ll be back in a minute.” She stepped out and was on phone, since it was a business one. She only returned after forty minutes. Pharell had finished his selections until he was relaxing on a sofa.

“Are you done with your selections?” Nathalia asked , and Pharrell nodded his head. It’s only when she arrived at the counter and requested to see what he has picked up, that she realized he had picked up a bunch of worthless dresses.

“Are these the things you picked up?” She asked, furrowing her brows at his selection. “Common, I brought you to this place so you could have a variety of stuff to pick from.”

“I am not going to pay for these stuff. We are going to start this afresh.” She said, discarding the clothes. “I would make a few selections. You’ll measure them and I’ll decide if you are keeping the clothes or not.” Nathalia said. It was more of a command than a question. He tried to oppose to it but she didn’t give him choice.

[Host Pharrell, the system reports a 20% increase in infatuation.] The system spoke to him as he was trying on the clothes.

He tried about seven outfits which Nathalia all loved. When they got to the counter, Pharrell brought out his phone and was about to pay for the bills, but Nathalia stopped him.

“What are you trying to do? Didn’t I tell you I was going to pay for the bills? Why do you want to do it by yourself?” Nathalia asked, causing Pharrell to allow her handle the bill.

They walked out of the shop and Nathalie opted to give him a leave. He shrugged since he didn’t want to waste more of her time.

“I don’t think it is a good idea. You’ve already wasted your time with me here. I think your man needs you now.” Pharrell tried to explain.

“Don’t worry about that cheating fellow. He is going to work by my rules now. I would drive you home, he can wait for all I care.” Nathalia stated and then opened the car door for him to enter.

He walked in but kept his mouth shut. With what he just saw, he concluded that everyone has a bad side and a good side depending from who explains the story.

“You know, you are a handsome young man.” Nathalie said at the steering wheel. She even tried to lock eyes with him but he looked away.

“Thanks.” After heaving heavily, he declared under his lips.

“You are a good man. I love your character and also the way you behave. Is that how you were trained up?” Nathalia continued with her questions.

“Humm, I don’t want us to talk about this, if you don’t mind.” He said politely.

She just reminded him of what his landlord told him a while ago, how he insulted him. He was from an orphanage so talking about his childhood with a stranger wasn’t something he was ready for.

[Host Pharrell, the system infatuation has increased by 60%] The voice spat, occupying his mind.

“There’s no problem if you don’t want us to talk about your childhood. I respect the fact you don’t want to talk about that.” She halted then continued with her speech. “I noticed you were gazing at the lady at the boutique with so much emotions. Do you know her?” Pharrell lowered his head at this question. This was another thing he wasn’t ready to talk about.
