Chapter 31: 1 against 100 (Rex escaped)

Using the limited time he had, Rex took three grenades and tied them behind a door with their string half-tugged. After which he moved a bit further and picked up one of the dead soldiers' submachine guns to continue firing, creating an illusion of them being in a crossfire.

Not more than forty seconds later, multiple footsteps echoed from the corridor as team A finally arrived, within a second one of them kicked the door open, making the half-pulled string completely being pulled.
