Chapter 8: Changed Rex

_Tyrannical Tyrant Rex?! It's truly him! We doomed!!_ They thought simultaneously with sweat dripping down their face.

Meanwhile,

Rex was busy looking at the person who came to his rescue absent-mindedly.

Maxwell 'Aka' Moneybag.

You might be wondering why all of them have nicknames, Well it can all be said that his grandmother was someone who loved giving them names according to their character.

Like Rex, he is too stubborn and unwilling to bow or admit his mistake and he is the family bully, which is why he got the name Tyrant.

Oliver loves hanging out with the fairer gender and got the name Playboy Of The Western World.

Maxwell is the second richest young generation man right here in Greenwood country plus he can do anything for money which earns him the name Moneybag.

But the relationship between him and Maxwell is kind of awkward, unlike the one he has with Oliver, Maxwell has at times betrayed him when offered a huge amount of profits which has made them enemies but at times he comes to Rex's rescue.

Rex did not even know how to describe their relationship.

"Hey there Max, it's been a while. Why don't you come over for a minute and give me a bear hug?" Rex waved at him, beckoning him to come closer, but who was Max to not know he had been seen through?

Maxwell already knew Rex was coming back so to embarrass him, he told the guards to block anyone dressed in shabby clothes.

The innocent guards foolishly obeyed and now, they knew they have fucked up big time.

****

Seeing that Max wasn't coming but rather slipped away, Rex sneered inwardly, _I will deal with you later._

With such thought, he turned and faced the now frightened guards with a gentle and loving smile. But to the guards, it felt like they had fallen into a lion's den.

"So, which amongst you said I wasn't even worthy of being the gardener's son?" He asked, while still maintaining his gentle and loving smile.

Rex, with his piercing gaze, compelled the guards to lower their heads, a gesture born out of their inability to bear his formidable presence.

"Pray forgive these lowly servants of yours, Young Master Rex," beseeched the initial guard who had previously obstructed Rex's path, humbling himself by bowing his head in remorse. "We, your humble servants, were oblivious to the grandeur of Mount Tai."

Though he hadn't actively participated in the others' mockery of Rex, his mere presence amongst them rendered him guilty by association. As the saying goes, one's character is often judged by the company they keep.

Although Rex wanted to punish them knowing that his grandfather was waiting for him and his conquest, he couldn't bear to waste his time dealing with some servants. Besides he has been in their shoes for some time now and knows how hurtful it feels to be dealt with.

"Listen," Rex ordered with a stern voice. "From now henceforth, you must treat every visitor who comes here with kindness. Understood?!"

"Ye... Yes Sir!" They chorus. They couldn't help but feel happy as they knew what they would have faced if it was to be the other nobles' kids, especially the females.

As Rex approached the estate, an impressive sight greeted him: a grand wrought-iron gate flanked by towering stone pillars. The gate was a masterpiece, with intricate scrollwork and embellished with the family crest at its center. Passing through the gate, he found himself on a serene tree-lined driveway, adorned with hedges and flower beds. Leading the way was a magnificent house, stretching across dozens of meters, its sleek design and modern finishes lending it an air of sophistication.

Beyond the driveway entrance, Rex discovered a sprawling landscape. A meticulously tended lawn awaited, complete with a glistening reflecting pool and an enchanting gazebo. Delving further, he found a meticulously cared-for garden, boasting arranged flowerbeds, a charming rose arbor, and even a fruitful orchard. Meandering through this oasis was a stone path that ultimately led to a hidden sanctuary a tranquil grove nestled at the back of the property.

The wonders did not cease there; Rex's gaze extended beyond the garden, revealing a plethora of additional delights. A hedge maze and a tennis court awaited for exhilarating matches. And there, like an oasis within an oasis, a sparkling swimming pool awaited, encircled by inviting lounge chairs and sheltered by vibrant umbrellas. Completing this picturesque scene was a pool house, equipped with a convenient kitchenette and changing room, a haven for summer indulgence.

Lost in the enchantment of it all, Rex hardly noticed that 39 minutes had slipped by as he made his way to the grandest building within the estate.

Finally, summoning his courage, Rex crossed the threshold. Instantly, he found himself standing in a vast foyer, its grandiosity undeniable. His gaze ascended a majestic staircase as he climbed skyward towards the second floor. To his left beckoned a formal living room, resplendent with luxuriously upholstered furniture and adorned with antique paintings that whispered tales of bygone eras. To the right stood a library, where towering bookshelves majestically displayed their literary treasures. The focal point of this cozy sanctuary was an inviting fireplace, emanating warmth and comfort. There, in a leather armchair, sat an elderly gentleman, engrossed in the pages of a book.

The old man seated in the library exuded an air of regality befitting the head of a noble family. His hair, a crown of time, cascaded in silky white waves, lending a distinguished allure to his countenance. A well-groomed beard added an extra touch of wisdom and gravitas to his appearance. His eyes, a piercing shade of grey, held a reservoir of knowledge nurtured over decades of experience. Though his visage bore the traces of seventy years, there was an undeniable vitality that belied his age, as if the energy of a sixty-six-year-old man still coursed through his veins.

Seeing the Man, Rex with a tense attitude bow his head and say, "Greetings, Grandfather."

The man looked at Rex quietly without any expression on his face, just when Rex thought things couldn't get more awkward. He finally responded.

"Hehehe, take a sit. I can't believe you actually bow to me. Seems like the outside world actually humbled you, young man." He taunts Rex with a gentle smile.
