A soft sigh escaped from Rex's lips, borne of a profound sense of resignation. The humility he had been forced to endure at the hands of his ex-wife and her relatives weighed heavily on him, and yet he felt himself transformed by the experience. In the face of such adversity, he had been tempered and refined, like steel in a forge. He no longer felt arrogant like before, now he is more down to earth.

"Well then," Archibald Lathwyn, Rex's grandfather continues. "Care to share with me your experience in the world without your background backing and how's your girl doing? You left us because of her. I hope you two now have kids. Hehehe, I will be a great grandfather."
