Chapter 67

The planet looked strange. Its purple sky stretched far, casting an odd glow on the ground. There was no water, no river or lakes, just white sand everywhere, with rocks and caves scattered around. It felt like a lifeless desert.

Richard raised his hand and let lightning spark from his fingers. A smile spread on his face. His powers were still with him.

Not far away, a group of 700 beasts stood near the portal. Their large bodies and glowing eyes watched him silently. They didn’t growl or attack. They just waited.

As he got closer, the beasts moved aside, creating a path for him. They lowered their heads, showing respect.

Richard walked through them, his smile growing.

Reaching the end of the line, Richard stopped and turned to face the beasts.

In unison, they dropped to their knees, their deep voices echoing, “Master, we are at your service.”

Richard narrowed his eyes, still skeptical of their loyalty. "They could be pretending. At least I have my powers if they try anything funny,"
