Chapter 13

Elliot excitedly raced to the grand entrance of the restaurant.

Without hesitation, he walked up to an elegantly dressed couple approaching the entrance.

“Hello,” he greeted, eagerly holding up the card. “I have a special offer for you…”

The man barely glanced at him before saying, “Not interested.” He then pushed him out of his way with a finger as if swatting an annoying fly.

But Elliot blocked their path again with a polite smile. “It’s..” he began, only to be cut off by the woman.

She sniffed, her eyes scanning him disdainfully. “Who let a filthy beggar like you stay around here? Get out of my sight now you scumbag!”

His face fell. “I’m sorry,” he said and left.

Elliot saw a group of men chatting close by so he tried again.

“Excuse me,” he said confidently. “Please, can I have a moment? I think you’ll be interested in my special offer.”

He held the card up to them, but they kept chatting like he was invisible.

Elliot, however, moved closer, trying to get their attention.

As his shirt accidentally brushed against one of the men, the man burst out in rage.

“Who the fuck let you hang around here, you dirty pig? Get out of here!” he shouted, shoving Elliot hard and sending him crashing to the floor.

The group laughed and walked away.

Suddenly, a security guard appeared and violently pulled Elliot off the ground. “You need to leave,” he said, pushing Elliot away.

After the security left, Elliot continued, carefully approaching others with his offer.

Not long after, he sighted a luxury car pull up at the entrance, and a middle aged man stepped out.

He quickly went to meet him and showed him the card, asking if he was interested.

The man’s eyes widened the moment he spotted the card.

He immediately took it and accessed it, his brows furrowing deeper the longer he looked.

“Where’d you get this card from?! I’d like to purchase it,” he eagerly said.

“How much?” he asked again.

Elliot reached into his pocket for the note, “Actually, the card comes with specific conditions,” he said and handed the note over.

The man took the note and it read;

‘To whom it may concern, you shall provide the boy with a fully furnished mansion in the prestigious Greenhouse Estate, a sum of one hundred million dollars in cash, and guarantee the care and education of both him and his little sister until they complete their college education. Failure to comply will render this offer null and void.’

“Is this all?” he asked, a bit surprised.

He knew the card's value far exceeded the demands outlined, so there had to be more, he thought.

But Elliot nodded, confirming that was all.

“Wow! Then we have a deal,” the man said, seeing it as an opportunity he couldn’t miss, and extended his hand.

Elliot’s eyes widened, his heart filled with joy as he eagerly grabbed the man’s hand and shook it firmly.

Meanwhile, as Richard continued his search for a property, a group of burly men suddenly blocked his path.

In mere seconds, they covered his head with a mask, shoved him into a car, and sped off.

Surprisingly, Richard didn’t resist.

Wanting to uncover who was behind this plot, he remained calm.

After a few minutes, the car stopped in an isolated area.

They violently pulled him out of the car and pushed him onto a chair.

“Take the mask off,” a voice ordered and the mask was immediately yanked off.

When Richard looked around, it was Dustin, alongside a menacing-looking man, Mateo, and a group of thugs around him.

Richard smiled.

“You poor loser,” Dustin chuckled, slowly approaching Richard with a smug expression, confident that he now had Richard entirely under his control.

“Who do you think you are?” Dustin asked, confidently walking around Richard.

“First, you steal my girlfriend, and then you humiliate me in front of everyone. Did you think I’ll let that slide?”

Richard chuckled.

“God!” Dustin laughed. “Do you know what pisses me off the most about you? You think you’re untouchable… you are annoyingly arrogant, and I’m going to teach you a lesson today!” he sneered with clenched fists.

Richard tilted his head slightly, meeting Dustin’s gaze with a faint smirk. “Steal your girlfriend? If you’re talking about Lydia, let me set the record straight.. I have no interest in her. She’s all yours.

He shrugged nonchalantly and continued, “As for the shoe-licking incident,” he said, his voice calm but sharp, “you brought it upon yourself.”

Dustin’s face turned red with rage, infuriated by Richard’s composure. “You arrogant son of a–!” he cussed, but stopped himself, his hand twitching mid-air, initially about to strike Richard.

Instead, he turned to Mateo. “Mateo, teach this smug bastard a lesson!”

Mateo was a martial arts expert known for defeating an entire martial arts club single-handedly. So, taking down Richard was only going to be a piece of cake.

Without warning, he immediately lunged at Richard, aiming a powerful kick at his chest.

But Richard effortlessly moved the chair out of the way, making Mateo lose balance and crash to the ground.

Angered, Mateo sprang to his feet with a growl and clenched fists to launch a faster and hard punch at him.

But Richard stood up and weaved to the side, before delivering a sharp, heavy punch to Mateo’s jaw.

His tooth flew out, and blood began to trickle down his nose as gasps erupted from the thugs. How could this be?? they wondered, their eyes widening in shock.

Mateo wiped his nose and after seeing the blood on his hand, he roared and charged again with his clenched fist, “You bastard!”

Richard effortlessly caught his fist mid-air with an iron grip and began to squeeze it with so much pressure that Mateo began to bend to his knees, groaning in pain.

While at it, Richard looked at Dustin. “Was this the best you could bring?” He muttered coldly and instantly twisted Mateo’s wrist with a sharp snap.

“Owww!” Mateo cried out, clutching his dislocated wrist.

“What are you waiting for?!” Dustin shouted at the thugs. “Attack him now!”

The other thugs lunged at once to attack with their weapons in the air.

Yet, in mere seconds, Richard subdued each one, including Dustin.

When he was done with them, they laid on the ground, writhing in pain and utterly defeated.

“You fucking bastard! You will regret this!” Dustin shouted through pain. “Fuck! You’ll pay for this!”

Richard sighed and shook his head. “Empty barrels really make the loudest noise.”

He cracked his fingers, flexed his muscles and walked away.

Suddenly Dustin’s phone buzzed.

“Who the fuck is calling me?” he said, annoyed. But his irritation faded when he realized it was his dad,

“Hey dad,” he quickly answered, masking the pain in his voice.

His father’s voice was firm yet trembling with emotion. “Son! We’ve done it! We’ve secured the miracle doctor’s exclusive card!”

Dustin brows shot upward. “Wait.. You mean the legendary miracle doctor??”

“Yes,” his father replied. “Finally there’s a high chance my wife will be cured of her chronic illness. I can’t believe this is happening..”

Dustin’s heart instantly filled with joy that he no longer felt pain. “Oh my God! Dad. Mom is finally going to be okay!” he said, tears welling up in his eyes.

“I’ll come home right now.” he added, jumping up and racing to his car, filled with hope for his mother's recovery and eager to witness the doctor's arrival.
