CHAPTER FIVE

Nobody to cuddle but it was better than cuddling a wretched Beast who confesses love only to stab you from behind.

A slight sigh escaped from his lips.

It was morning already and the sun's ray was already forcing themselves through the Window

"This might be the last time that I will be lying to you." He tapped his bed slightly.

Seeing his phone lying there brought back the memories of the previous night back to him.

But whatever it was that was behind what had happened the previous night, he was certainly going to find out from his grandfather that day.

He rose from his bed. And for the first time in years, he got a proper dose of sleep.

Staring at his wall clock, he noticed that he had just a few hours left to get set.

He stared at his worn-out shoes that were already opened at the tip and his tattered clothes.

Wishing that he could get to the mall and do a quick change, a slight sigh escaped from his mouth knowing too well that he did not have enough time to do that.

And he didn't want to keep his grandfather waiting for him for such a long time.

And it was better to keep his status low for a while. Especially after what happened last night, it was already an eye-opener that flaunting his status all around was not going to be good for his safety.

"I guess that I will have to make do with my old buddies for a while." She waved his head as he got into them.

Since he was already late and could not wait for his bus, he decided that he was going to ride his bike to wherever it was that he was going to as he had always done in the past.

Hopping onto his bike, he began to ride away toward the headquarters, the place had always been tightly guarded.

Even when he was in the business and the university applied for sightseeing, the manager of the place, not even the CEO, rejected it within a few minutes, and after pleading, only the children of the elites of the elites could get into the place.

But from what he heard, the manager back then was just being extremely rude now the place was always open but With extra checks.

"At least. That was somehow sensible."

When he got there, he noticed someone that he shouldn't be seeing there.

Someone who made the stream of anger flow through his spine and he jerked.

Who else could it be apart from the fool who stole his wife from him? He wondered if he even knew that the lady that he was getting married to was someone's wife.

This time, he did pretend that he was avoiding them. He Walked over to his car, clutching his hands tightly to control his anger that was rising badly.

While he was walking, it seemed that he was floating in the air out of his anger. He did not realize it When he hit his feet on a stone, throwing him towards the car and snapping Marcel off the fruit juice that he was sipping.

"And what do you think it is that you are doing?" I inquired with a frown hanging on his face but Ethan was not by any means startled by his ugly looks.

"Don't you think that I should be the one asking you that question?" Ethan replied, getting out of his car.

But before he even attempted to answer the question, Marcel stepped into the car slowly and picked up his cell phone.

"You were saying?" He Inquired staring right into his eyes.

"Are you that dumb not to realize that the lady that you are flirting with is married!" Ethan shot the words at him.

But he didn't seem to go off at the revelation.

He only chuckled for a while and turned back around towards Ethan with a dark smile hanging on his face.

One that annoyed Ethan so much that When he clutched his hands harder, it made a cracking sound...

"Did those bones that you call hands make that sound? I guess that you have lacked food for days."

"But anyways, I am not the one that is going to feed a broke ass like you."

"But anyways, I will tell you one thing that you are dying to hear. I knew about it right from the beginning."

"And then you continued chasing her?" Ethan returned to him, stuck with bewilderment.

"Well. She is Beautiful and such a broke guy should not have the better part of her you Know." He chuckled.

"And the only reason that I didn't recognize you that day was because I never really saw you before, just heard of you."

"But I have to say, I never really knew that you were that wretched so that says. That was enough to wade down my anger."

Ethan gnashed his teeth and growled at him but that was only going to make things even worse for him already as Marcel loved seeing him in distress.

"But what are you doing here? The manager isn't going to allow you to go in, you know, right?" He said.

Just then, a lady who seemed to be his sister Walked gradually toward him and mumbled loudly enough for hir to hear.

"We have to go now. I got us a space." She said but Marcel was not yet done with Ethan just yet.

He turned around towards him and brought out a parcel from his pocket.

It was a card sprinkled with gold and silver linen and his hands could feel its texture, as smooth as silk.

"Go on, look through it." Marcel sneered

And though he was really angry. His instants moved him to do what it was that he had to dom

He opened it up and read the first part and just as he had expected, it was a wedding card.

"See you there, you are our special guest and will be in the VIP section." He finalized, walking away from the place slowly.

Ethan gnashed his teeth even harder and his hands folded the card neatly into a ball.

The taste of anger sprinkled all over his face.

He certainly was not going to allow them to go scot-free after what they did.

He knew that the manager would be inside waiting for him already and from the papers that he saw from his sister's hands, they were going to pass that across to him.

A dark smile hovered on his lips as the thoughts of what he was going to do to them flashed in his head.

"Let's see how this rolls." He muttered.

"He brought his phone out from his pocket and searched for the contact of the manager that his grandfather had passed across to him."

"There you are." He mumbled.

Not wanting to call the manager, he began to type a message tagging it urgent.

"A young named Marcel is coming into your office with a young lady right away. I don't care about what they are going to do there."

"I want to get angry upon seeing them." He wrote.

"A request from Ethan Geftan." He used his last name which carried so much authority.

He paused for a while, taking out the thin film that had formed on his tongue With his teeth.

"Let's see how you are going to get off this beast." He growled at himself and his anger was soon replaced by a dark smile.
