CHAPTER FOUR

So it was his grandfather's doings but how was he even aware that all of this was even happening to him?

Then he remembered the words of his grandfather, I Know everywhere in the city and I have eyes distributed all around. Such a thing will never happen again, understand my watch.

His voice re-echoed in his head.

Soon. The phone of the manager beeped and he read through it. Streams of sweat flowed down swiftly from the corner of his face and his palms were sweaty.

"What the hell have you done?" He yelled turning over to the receptionist who was already shivering hard with so much fear like someone that just caught a cold.

"I don't understand sir." She could not help but return, now that she was already shivering with so much fear and cold shivers running down her spine.

The manager turned around towards Ethan with dread in his eyes and he knelt before him.

"I am sorry Sir. I didn't Know that.." He could not get himself to say anything as his words broke into multiple shivers and his lips shuttered.

Seeing what was going on, Evelyn, her boyfriend, and the receptionist were beyond confused and they could not comprehend what it was that was going on there anymore.

Ethan noticed that as more customers came in, the manager was going to cause a scene there so he assisted him up from the floor and stared right into his eyes.

"You don't have to do this, mister." He said.

He drew over to him and stared right into his eyes to calm him down before he made way for his ears.

"Nobody knows about it yet and nobody has to find out anything about it." He announced.

The manager got the message that Ethan was trying to pass along almost immediately and he nodded his head.

"Once again. I am sorry sir and to show my sincere apologies. You are fired." His tone shot up immediately his gaze shifted to his receptionist who shivered at the sound of the word.

For a while, she could only quiver

"I am sorry sir. Sir, please don't do this to me. You Know that I need this job." She pleaded.

But all her pleading fell on deaf ears because the manager was working on the orders of a higher authority.

Soon, two security men fully guarded walked into the place and turned around towards the manager.

"Take them out of this place." He wanted to say but then Ethan stopped him...

"Not yet." He whispered.

He drew gradually towards him and whispered some Words that only the manager could hear.

"I will do that right away sir." He concord.

He called out to one of the guards that came at his request and whispered to him to

With a slight bow, the guard walked away from the place and returned a few minutes later with package parcels in his hands, About to hand them over to the boss but his hands stopped him.

"For them." He noted gesturing to Evelyn and her likes.

The guard nodded his head and handed it over to them while they looked into it..

"Leftovers!!" The receptionist said with a broken voice as tears continued to drizzle down from her eyes.

"Cool thing that you noticed," Ethan noted.

"Just a little gift from me to you." He said and this time, there was a dark smile hanging on his lips.

"Now you can take them to the gutters where they belong."

He watched as they were thrown away by the yells and tears of the receptionist reaching out to him.

"I am Sorry again sir. The manager apologized.

"I never knew that you were."

"There is no need to mention." Ethan stopped him. "I should get going now."

He pulled away from the place with a happy feeling. For the first time, he was really happy.

For once, he was going to be the voice of the voiceless and fight for every single person who had fallen prey to the powerful hands out there

And from his deep knowledge after graduating from business school, he was going to gather immense wealth until he was on top of the world.

He walked home gradually and took his bath, already exhausted after everything that had happened to him that day.

But as he was about to lay his head, he got a really strange phone call that got him wondering.

He wasn't the kind of person to receive such. And even when he did, because he was too poor to get himself into any kind of trouble. He usually avoided them.

"But there is no need to avoid such things any longer. You are richer than the richest man in the City now." He reminded himself.

Taking a sip in the fresh air, he picked up the call but after that, there was a sudden pause.

"This is Ethan Geftan right?" The caller noted after such a long pause that seemed to be like forever.

It seemed as though whoever it was that the caller was, a lot was already known about him or a lot of research had been done on him already.

"Or was it due to what happened earlier?" He could not help but think.

For some reason, he could not get his hands around, his heart was racing fast as though it was going to burst through.

"Who are you, what do you want from me and how do you even know me?" Multiple questions streamed out of his mouth, making whoever it was that was at the other end of the phone burst into dark evil laughter.

"Do you think of me as a robot? To answer all those questions at a spot?"

The audacity of the person made Ethan twist his hands with so much hate and disgust Even without seeing him already.

"If you aren't that scared, at least you will tell me who you are." Ethan ventured.

"Scared? That is one thing that can not be linked to me. And as for my identity, there is certainly no need for me to hide it from you."

"I am Bel Geftan. Your sweet brother." He announced it to me but for a while, I could not think straight.

"What?" I exclaimed, really confused.

"I have a brother?" The words came out of my mouth as a surprise.

"And I am the sweatiest thing that will ever happen to you." He finalized and ended the call but for Ethan, he was still stiff.

When he was finally able to get a hold of himself once again, he tried as much as he could to call back the number but it was already blocked.

"Shit." He exclaimed.

Random thoughts ran through his head. Just within a few days, he had received a lot of Gbas gobos (unexpected news) and it seemed as though his head was going to tear apart.

"But if he was my brother. Why did he have to announce himself in such a way? Or is he some weirdo? A spoiled thing?" He could not even get himself to place his thoughts on anything anymore.

"But he said he is the sweatiest thing that is ever going to happen to me. That should be a good sign right?"

His phone made a beeping sound once again and Adrenaline flooded into his bloodstream, forcing him to reach out to his cell phone as soon as he called and it seemed as though he had a text message.

"And your worst nightmare too." He read once again.
