Mr Oliver grunted, he cursed under his breath before walking out of the door.

“Can you imagine this fool walking out on me, I can't believe I even tried considering him,” Mrs Laurette grumbled as she sat down on the bed, beside Amber.

“How are you feeling by the way?“ Mrs Laurette asked.

“It hurts so much,” Amber said, placing her hand on her chest.

“The doctor said the bullet was a few inches away from your heart, you were close to dying, I'm so grateful you're alive, and I can't lie, I'm happy I won't be seeing those bastards for a long time,” Mrs Laurette said.

“Yeah, me too,” Amber sighed, she picked up her phone and began to scroll through it again. While Mrs stared at the thin air, lost in her thought.

The door opened and the doctor walked in.

“I'm so sorry I had taken so much time, I was in the theatre when the nurse informed me of you, How are you doing young lady?“ The doctor asked, with a wide smile as he advanced towards Mrs Laurette and Amber.

“Good day Ma'am,” The doctor
