"What's the matter with you?" He asked.

"Who me?" Mrs Laurette and Amber both said in unison.

"I'm talking to you Laurette, what's the problem?" Mr Oliver said.

"What have I done?" Mrs Laurette asked in confusion.

"Why were you shouting like that? Don't you know everyone outside can hear you? And what were you banging about?" Mr Oliver asked.

"Nothing, what have you brought for us?" Mrs Laurette asked.

"Don't try to turn the conversation around, what is really going on with you?" Mr Oliver muttered, anger in his voice.

"Why do you sound so cold, I'm sure my rumbling is not enough reason for you to talk to me this way, who wronged you, common, talk to me," Mrs Laurette said. But Mr Iliver remained silent as he paced the room.

Mrs Laurette turned to Amber, they both looked confused.

"Father, are you all right?" Amber asked, trying to break the awkward silence.

"That fool thinks he can get away with it, I'll show him who I really am, he'll be begging for mercy," Mr Oliver grumbled.
