It was too late for Theresa to drive back home, and after having so much to drink, Mr Cain had asked her to stay back home.

“I hope you're not going to bed without having dinner,” Mr Cain asked.

“Dad, I just ate this evening, I'm not sure I want to eat anything,” Theresa hesitated.

“You can't do that while you're here, you can do that at home, bit when you're with me, you can't go to bed on an empty belly, now go to your room, freshen up and then return downstairs to the dining table, I'll join you once I am done with work,”

“Okay paps,” Theresa said, then she stood up to leave. Just before she opened the door, she paused and turned to her father.

“Dad, I forgot to ask, did I tell you Ruby and I work in the same company?“ Theresa asked.

“No,” Mr Cain nodded

“You haven't mentioned her name in years now,” Mr Cain muttered.
