“Why?” Chris asked, frowning. “I have a guest.” He pointed back at his bedroom. If his father wanted to speak to him about something serious, then it had to wait until Mia was gone.

“I'm afraid, this is very important and it is about your guest.” The butler replied, putting his hand behind him to show how serious he was.

“About Mia?” Chris asked just to be sure and seeing how serious the whole situation was, he followed butler Steve into his father’s study room.

A few minutes later, Chris stood before the desk, keeping eye contact with his father who was abnormally quiet.

“You sent for me, Dad. Why aren't you speaking?” Chris frowned. “Why do you want to talk about Mia?”

“Hmmm…” Jones let out a groan at first, he then closed his eyes and massaged his temples. He looked so stressed and in his mind, he knew he had made a fatal mistake.

Chris froze for a moment, not knowing what to think. That instruction came out of nowhere with no bas
