Travelling is boring but The Great Capital awaits. The Selection is going to be fun. Happy new week.
She opened the door to see a box sitting in front of the door. It was a pretty big box. She peeked out the door to see who had dropped it off but she saw no one. After a slight pause, she opened it and saw that it was divided into sections. Each section had a different thing in it. The biggest section was filled with clothes. The smaller ones either had jewelry or shoes. She dragged the box into the room and locked the door before she dragged the box into the empty dressing room. She opened the closet and hung the clothes one after the other. She put the shoes on the shelves and the jewelry on stands or in the glass cabinets.By the time she was done arranging everything, she had spent a few hours on it.Standing in front of the half-filled closet, she lost count of how many times she looked over all the fancy clothes. There was only one dress that was remotely simple enough to fit her tastes. It was a plain light blue dress. Not long after, she had put it on. Her hair was let down,
"Every person had a seed inside them but only a small percentage of people were able to awaken their seeds. The seeds awoken will always have a specific elemental inclination and the more compatible the seed is with the element it was inclined to, the more powerful the control over the element and the more powerful the arcana it belongs to will be"Deirdre nodded as Miss Seiran explained things. Some of these she already had an idea of."Since you have once been exposed to an incredibly pure source of aether during your first awakening and it did not work, we'll have to use a different method""How will we do that?""I'll have to stress your elemental seed to the point of breaking""Will that be painful?", she asked."Are you having second thoughts?", Aoife asked in response.Deirdre hardened her expression with some determination."Let's get started"They were currently standing in a cavern. The rocky walls had a glassy look to them, seemingly glowing in the greyness of the space.Dei
Seeing the world fall into chaos was not the worst part of this experience, the real problem was that she experienced everything that happened in this world. So when the lava spread across the ground, she was standing directly in its path. Her feet were eroded to the bone by the lava but she remained standing, even though she was screaming her head off. When the eruptions got out of hand, she was standing in the splash zone. When the chunks of rock struck her, she screamed for her life. When the splashes burnt through her clothes to her heart that continued beating, she felt crucified. When the air grew toxic, she was there to choke on the clouds of sulfur, as well as dust the eruptions spewed. When the world grew cold due to the nuclear winter caused by the gases rising into the atmosphere, she was there to freeze.Through the thousands to millions of years that the world spent in that frozen state, she was there, a popsicle. As a popsicle, she watched the world get terraformed. It was evening but a particular building had carriage after carriage ride through its gates. They all stopped at the entrance to the main building, letting their passengers out.Every one of these people was dressed in beautiful ball gowns and suits that sparkled in the lights spilling from the hall entrance. There were distinctions to every one of the carriages arriving. Some were bigger, looking more gorgeous than others, signifying the higher class of people they carried. The higher the class, the lower the number of these carriages that could be seen.At the hall's entrance, the guards stood in their nice armor. It impressed many that these guards were gorgeous women, however, staring could easily be seen as disrespectful, so they had to move on.Inside the hall, two curved staircases hugged the walls on the right and left. They led up to the floor above. On the ground floor was a string quartet playing a slow, calm song that just blended into the background nicely. Many of the pe
."Deirdre, I haven't heard of anyone with your name. How are you related to Miss Seiran?"Unexpectedly, Eleanor was the one who broke the silence."I call her mother but she adopted me...""That I can guess", Eleanor interruptedDeirdre smiled when she heard this, and took a long look at Eleanor. Eloise pulled on Eleanor's arm, however, Eleanor was having none of it."Eloise, it's just a question. Brother said we should get to know each other""I'm really sorry about her. She asks questions without putting much thought into them", Eloise tried to smooth things over."It's fine. I was adopted less than a week ago. I was passed out in the middle of the road when she found me"Eleanor's expression had gone from unhappy to depreciating. This change took less than a second, swift as the wind."Is that so...?", She asked"Eleanor...!!", Eloise interrupted with a stern voice."It's fine... These are all things you can find out about me, although it might be hard for people to recognize me""
The carriages took off again. Nothing much had changed but he could feel the full bumpy nature of the carriage he was on.He sat in the corner of the carriage with his eyes closed and every one of his new travel mates around.Eyes snapped in his direction more often than he'd bother to count, so he ignored it.As usual, his eyes were closed for a good reason, and as usual, it was to go into his subconscious. He did not visit the library this time, he instead sat before the primordial stele.Over the course of this journey, he had read about most things he needed to know. The next thing to do was, decipher the bizarre inscription in his mind. He'd made some progress in this regard, however, the inscription was like a language he couldn't read twisted to make it even more confusing. The one thing he could say for sure was that this inscription had something to do with his foray into chaotic space.Chaos, being one of his elemental affinities meant what he had experienced was something h
Falling through the sky, Aiden felt his head spin. His mind lost focus for a moment. As he spun through the air, he opened his eyes to see the person who had slammed into him. Quick description: slim figure covered in a black hood. A hood that made the figure look like a shadow in the night sky. For some reason, the moon was no longer obscured, and it shone down brightly.Soon, he tumbled into a position where he was looking at the water beneath. He hurriedly positioned himself to dive into the water, legs first. As he held his arms to his body to reduce his surface area, he noticed that the figure in a hood was still flailing in the air.He couldn't think about this before he splashed into the water.Sinking into the water rapidly, he felt the force of the waterfall that was pouring into the water not too far away. This helped immensely as the water pushed him upward. Slowly he swam to the surface. As soon as his head got free of the water's su
It was early in the morning when Aiden opened his eyes. The light from the moon had dimmed down considerably as its position was no longer overhead. They say that 'it is darkest just before dawn, and compared to the bright night prior, at that moment, it really was darker.Nothing much had changed in the time he took a nap. Aside from the fire that went out, the only difference was Princess Diane who was sleeping not too far away. She had the same blanket he left her covering her. After spacing out for a second, he got to his feet and walked off.His walk was not without purpose because he came back not long after with some more dry wood, and water in a container, as well as some fish. She was sitting when he came back. She said nothing and he didn't as well.In that silence, he made a fire, cleaned the fish, and began roasting it. He had no salt or spices to add to the fish, so he cooked it as it were.It did not take long to get this done, however, he cooked all the fish he caught.
