Chapter 60

It was early in the morning when Aiden opened his eyes. The light from the moon had dimmed down considerably as its position was no longer overhead.

They say that 'it is darkest just before dawn, and compared to the bright night prior, at that moment, it really was darker.

Nothing much had changed in the time he took a nap. Aside from the fire that went out, the only difference was Princess Diane who was sleeping not too far away. She had the same blanket he left her covering her.

After spacing out for a second, he got to his feet and walked off.

His walk was not without purpose because he came back not long after with some more dry wood, and water in a container, as well as some fish.

She was sitting when he came back. She said nothing and he didn't as well.

In that silence, he made a fire, cleaned the fish, and began roasting it. He had no salt or spices to add to the fish, so he cooked it as it were.

It did not take long to get this done, however, he cooked all the fish he caught.
