141 – A STRANGE MANIFESTATION

Luke remained still for a few seconds, trying to understand the strange turn of events.

His eyes widened in shock. Pain

so blinding, so venomous exploded in his shoulder. He blinked rapidly, trying to figure out what just happened.

The driver stepped out of the vehicle and aimed his gun at Luke’s head.

“I missed the first time and hit your shoulder. Trust me, if you continue to test my patience, I will not miss the second time.” He snarled.

Luke had expected to feel unbearable pain from the gunshot and drop to the ground in defeat but instead, after a few seconds, the painful explosion in his shoulder reduced to a dull throbbing sensation.

He blinked in confusion, unable to understand what the hell was going on. Deep down, he felt a strange, stirring in his bones. It was almost like fire was bubbling at the pits of his stomach, garnering momentum to explode straight out of his guts.

He touched a finger to his shoulder, expecting it to be stained with blood. However, he was shocked when
