Chapter 3: Hospital Bills, Paid!

Elliot was dumbfounded, his heart warmed up at her words, without thinking further, he hugged her tightly, at least he knows that his Nana wasn't going to die.

"I promise to return the money to you as soon as possible" He said out of utmost excitement.

Hannah waved her hands up in the air with a grin on her face, "Don't worry, you can return the money at your own convenience. Take your time."

Sometimes, she just have a sweet feeling towards this man in front of her. She stared at his handsome face down to this manly body, her heart beat the moment her eyes stared at his torso.

"What are you thinking Hannah?" Her inner mind scolded.

"It's better I leave now," She faced him and told him, her heart beating slightly.

Elliot nodded with a wide smile evident on his face, his heart was just filled with joy, as she turned to leave, he hugged her one more time and whispered "Thank you once again."

Hannah's heart flipped once again, this time louder and harder, was this man trying to seduce her? Was he trying to toy with her heart?

Unable to speak, she just nodded nervously and walked away quickly.

Elliot looked at the retreating figure of Hannah, his one and only beloved with a sweet smile on his face, he was glad he got to meet the woman of his dreams though her parents didn't approve of it.

As he walked, his phone buzzed at his back pocket loudly, with a frustrated look on his face, he took out his phone only to see the doctor's name largely written all over the screen.

His heart skipped a bit, thousand of questions flushed through his mind, "Why was the doctor calling him?

"Or has something happened to his Nana?"

Those type of questions occupied his mind that he didn't notice when the phone rang for the third time. Hesitantly and fearfully, he picked it up only to hear a call, sweet, deep voice from the doctor.

"Hello, Mr. Harrison. How are you?" He asked. Elliot blinked his eye lids in confusion, "What was going on?" He asked himself.

"I'm good doctor, any updates on my Nana? How's her condition? I'm about coming to your hospital to pay her bills." He said quickly in one breath.

There was a good moment of silence from both ends of the phone, until the doctor cleared his throat and bursted into laughter.

Elliot was confused yet again, what among the words he said was funny enough to be laughed at? They were talking about his Nana's life here, her life is literally at stake!!

"Mr. Harrison, you really are one funny young man, you almost got me there with your little white lie." He replied amidst laughs.

"Little white lie?" Elliot was confused, but he needed the doctor to get on with his point of calling, he was already having an heart attack.

Then he asked again, "Is anything wrong with my Nana?"

The doctor laughed, then in the last minute, composed himself, "Well, if you don't know, your Nana's bills has been cleared."

Elliot thought the doctor was joking, he didn't want to get his hopes high for nothing, but still, it seemed like his heart stopped functioning. He was on cloud nine.

But still, he was curious, who would want to pay his Nana's bills? Did he know of anybody who could do so?

The phone was silent for what seemed like eternity, Elliot wasn't on his right mindset, what was happening?  Was it a joke? Or the doctor was playing fast one on him?

"Hello?" The doctor's voice resounded through the phone, jolting the thinking Elliot out of his daydream. Elliot cleared his throat, "Are you lying doctor?"

The doctor was amused, this young man was really something he couldn't fathom. "Come over to my office, I need to speak with you."

Elliot nodded and as the doctor hanged up, he slowly removed his phone from his ear. He was shocked and was in awe, was this real? Or was he dreaming again?

Out of a sudden, the urge to look at his Nana's face bumped into him, he walked hurriedly to the bus stop to flag down a taxi. After some minutes drive, he arrived at the hospital. He walked to where his Nana's ward was and jammed the door slowly.

His Nana slept soundly on the bed, his heart warmed up as a tear gathered at the corner of his left eye, he left the room, leaving for the doctor's office.

~~~~~
"So, what you were telling me on the phone, is it real?" Elliot asked, his bulging eyes staring quietly at the doctor who looked composed instead.
The doctor stared back at the young man seated opposite him, 'So he didn't know.' He muttered to himself.
"Well," The doctor cleared his throat and began, "A wealthy looking man walked in here and paid for your Nana's bills and left, though leaving a note."
Elliot's face creased in confusion, this wasn't making any sense. How could an unknown, rich man just paid for his Nana's bills, left a note behind for him and left? It just doesn't make any sense!
But as long as His Nana's bills were already paid for, he simply didn't care.
Elliot stood up. He was ready to check up on his Nana. He bowed his head, and as he was about to leave, the doctor called him back.
"Mr. Harrison, you forgot to take the paper along with you." He called back, stretching the folded paper towards him.
Elliot just nodded, collected it, squeezed in into his pocket, and left.
He opened his Nana's room door slightly to behold her sight sleeping soundly. Warmth enveloped his heart and all thoughts from before vanished away only to be occupied with the love for his Nana.
Though she was still asleep, her gentle face still appeared like she was some sort of an angel.
He walked slowly towards her, and held her hands gently. Oh, how so had he missed touching her hands and hugging her for some time now.
As he kept on holding her hands, he felt something falling to the ground from his pockets, he looked only to see the folded paper even more squeezed.
With curiosity at its peak, he opened the paper hastily. Only to see some words in bold letter, well inscripted "We really need you to run the villa and the companies all over the world for us. We really want you back Mr. Harrison and we miss you!"
