Chapter 7: Meeting Butler Lee

He didn't even bother to answer her question, he tried peeking inside the house, "Is Hannah home? I'd love to see her."

Hilda laughed outrageously, "You'd better leave, it's not going to be good if Hannah's date meet you her, and you're claiming to be her fiancé."

Elliot's eyes widened in utmost shock, 'Was this girl joking with him or what?' But on the other hand, he was confused, his heart was filled with rage and jealousy, and it didn't seem like she was joking, she has never joked around with him.

His fists were red, his face turned dark and he completely forgot the main reason he came here in the first place.

"Hey!! I said leave!" Hilda barked the second time.

Hannah's mother was alerted, she could hear voices from afar, the voice that her daughter was talking to seemed familiar, but she couldn't point a finger to who it was, so she decided to confirm, "Hilda Honey, who's at the door? And what's happening out there? I can hear voices."

Hilda waved her hands up in the air, "Nothing to worry about here, just some pizza deliverer who came to deliver to the wrong house."  She replied in a swift.

Elliot's anger grew, he wasn't just some pizza deliverer, he was their soon-to-be in law. "How dare they treat a a Billionaire heir like that." He mumbled under his breath with rage.

Now, he was set to accept the offer, he wasn't going to allow some people to treat him like dump.

"I promise to rise to the top and make my enemies bow before me and lick my shoes." He mumbled yet again.

Hilda looked at the man before her with utmost disgust, she guessed he was already carried away in his own thoughts.

Her eyes flickered at him, she has never seen him too close for a long time like this. She could easily tell that he was angry, his vibe felt off and that made her glad.

His dark hair was scattered as usual as though it wasn't combed well, he looked like he was in a hurry in the first place, but after being told about the date, his vibe went off.

"Mother, I'm ready!" A soft, mild voice resounded in the room. Elliot's heart fluttered, he recognized that voice, anywhere anytime.

"Hannah, I'm sure there's someone at the door who would love to see you." Hilda yelled, making Elliot to gently lift his head up.

He could faintly hear sounds of an high heel clinging gracefully to the door. Beads of sweat rolled down his chin, he was nervous. He mumbled under his breath, he wasn't really to face Hannah, especially looking like a rugged armed robber.

After what seemed like eternity, Hannah was before him, elegant as ever. His knees became weak, the sweating increased, and his hands became wet of sweat.

He smiled nervously, "You look great, I don't think I've ever seen you in this dress before."

Hilda, who was behind her sister the whole time replied in a swift, "That's because her date bought it for her. It's among one of the rare dresses in New York City, designed by the one and only New York fashionista, Donna Karen. Bet you've never heard of her."

Elliot scoffed gently, his jealousy grew to its brink. He eyed the dress gently, it truly looked magnificent.

The gentle makeup applied on her face even made her looked more breathtaking. "She probably isn't even worth me." He muttered sadly.

The velvet long, striped gown glittered, making one's eyes twinkle with jealousy. Her hair was packed in a bun, leaving two strands of hair at both sides of her face.

Elliot kept on looking at the beauty in front of him, her silver shoes shone brightly alongside her dress, making it a complete duo. Her bag clung well to her wrists, making her look irresistible to the eyes.

His eyes were filled with lust, and wonders. He had never seen her look so dazzling before. "You look great!" He forced those three words from his mouth after some minutes. He felt a lump on his throat still thinking she was going on a dinner date with another man.

Hannah forced a gentle smile, It felt awkward for her too, but she wasn't ready to say anything about it.

Hilda cleared her throat, gesturing for Hannah to get back in the house, "Enough of this." She said and faced Hannah, "Why aren't you getting in?"

Immediately, Hannah walked carefully back in the house, leaving Elliot to only see her retreating figure. Her shoes clung to the floor yet again, making an elegant sound.

Hilda frowned back at him, and closed the door harshly.

Elliot's knuckles turned white, "I need to something. And quickly"

Elliot sighed just before looking at the  huge restaurant before him, the next time he was going to come out from this place, he was going to be a very rich man.

He was having change of minds, but his mind went back to Hannah, seeing her in those clothes so she could go on a date with another man just completely breaks his heart, making him feel jealous.

Without thinking further, he slowly walked inside, only to see a huge sculpted bowl made out of ceramics design located at the middle of a restaurant, a golden large chandelier was hung at every corner of the room, complimenting the design.

Elegant looking waiters moved around, attending to people in suits and gowns who probably looked like rich people.

With utmost discouragement, he looked down at his clothes, they looked dirty, not well kept. Words couldn't describe it.

Just then, he heard his voice, "Elliot, over here." He looked up to see Butler Lee who also dressed elegantly, pointing towards an empty golden chair opposite him.

He walked over to him smartly and sat down.

Butler Lee laughed shortly, "Seems you were interested in the deal after all." He raised an eyebrow, "Pardon me, who wouldn't be interested in riches?"

He asked, waiting for his response, but Elliot kept quiet. He wasn't here for any sort of criticism.

Elliot glared, "Did I come here for any of your criticisms, Lee?" His eyes glistened, mixed with hatred.

Butler Lee was shocked, this was the second time Elliot called him Lee ever since he was born, and it meant he was annoying him.

Butler Lee stammered, "O-of cour-se not."

Immediately, he brought out a blank sheet of paper and placed it on the table before him, while pointing at some spaces, "Sign here, here and here, and it's all done. Though you can go through it if you like."

With clear nervousness that he tried to push at the back of his mind, he carefully picked up the paper, checking out every single sentences from it.

As he kept on looking, a sentence caught his eye, making his heart beat faster, "Was this real? Or it was a joke?" He murmured within himself.
