He didn't even bother to answer her question, he tried peeking inside the house, "Is Hannah home? I'd love to see her."
Hilda laughed outrageously, "You'd better leave, it's not going to be good if Hannah's date meet you her, and you're claiming to be her fiancé."
Elliot's eyes widened in utmost shock, 'Was this girl joking with him or what?' But on the other hand, he was confused, his heart was filled with rage and jealousy, and it didn't seem like she was joking, she has never joked around with him.
His fists were red, his face turned dark and he completely forgot the main reason he came here in the first place.
"Hey!! I said leave!" Hilda barked the second time.
Hannah's mother was alerted, she could hear voices from afar, the voice that her daughter was talking to seemed familiar, but she couldn't point a finger to who it was, so she decided to confirm, "Hilda Honey, who's at the door? And what's happening out there? I can hear voices."
Hilda waved her hands up in the air, "Nothing to worry about here, just some pizza deliverer who came to deliver to the wrong house." She replied in a swift.
Elliot's anger grew, he wasn't just some pizza deliverer, he was their soon-to-be in law. "How dare they treat a a Billionaire heir like that." He mumbled under his breath with rage.
Now, he was set to accept the offer, he wasn't going to allow some people to treat him like dump.
"I promise to rise to the top and make my enemies bow before me and lick my shoes." He mumbled yet again.
Hilda looked at the man before her with utmost disgust, she guessed he was already carried away in his own thoughts.
Her eyes flickered at him, she has never seen him too close for a long time like this. She could easily tell that he was angry, his vibe felt off and that made her glad.
His dark hair was scattered as usual as though it wasn't combed well, he looked like he was in a hurry in the first place, but after being told about the date, his vibe went off.
"Mother, I'm ready!" A soft, mild voice resounded in the room. Elliot's heart fluttered, he recognized that voice, anywhere anytime.
"Hannah, I'm sure there's someone at the door who would love to see you." Hilda yelled, making Elliot to gently lift his head up.
He could faintly hear sounds of an high heel clinging gracefully to the door. Beads of sweat rolled down his chin, he was nervous. He mumbled under his breath, he wasn't really to face Hannah, especially looking like a rugged armed robber.
After what seemed like eternity, Hannah was before him, elegant as ever. His knees became weak, the sweating increased, and his hands became wet of sweat.
He smiled nervously, "You look great, I don't think I've ever seen you in this dress before."
Hilda, who was behind her sister the whole time replied in a swift, "That's because her date bought it for her. It's among one of the rare dresses in New York City, designed by the one and only New York fashionista, Donna Karen. Bet you've never heard of her."
Elliot scoffed gently, his jealousy grew to its brink. He eyed the dress gently, it truly looked magnificent.
The gentle makeup applied on her face even made her looked more breathtaking. "She probably isn't even worth me." He muttered sadly.
The velvet long, striped gown glittered, making one's eyes twinkle with jealousy. Her hair was packed in a bun, leaving two strands of hair at both sides of her face.
Elliot kept on looking at the beauty in front of him, her silver shoes shone brightly alongside her dress, making it a complete duo. Her bag clung well to her wrists, making her look irresistible to the eyes.
His eyes were filled with lust, and wonders. He had never seen her look so dazzling before. "You look great!" He forced those three words from his mouth after some minutes. He felt a lump on his throat still thinking she was going on a dinner date with another man.
Hannah forced a gentle smile, It felt awkward for her too, but she wasn't ready to say anything about it.
Hilda cleared her throat, gesturing for Hannah to get back in the house, "Enough of this." She said and faced Hannah, "Why aren't you getting in?"
Immediately, Hannah walked carefully back in the house, leaving Elliot to only see her retreating figure. Her shoes clung to the floor yet again, making an elegant sound.
Hilda frowned back at him, and closed the door harshly.
Elliot's knuckles turned white, "I need to something. And quickly"
~~~~Elliot sighed just before looking at the huge restaurant before him, the next time he was going to come out from this place, he was going to be a very rich man.
He was having change of minds, but his mind went back to Hannah, seeing her in those clothes so she could go on a date with another man just completely breaks his heart, making him feel jealous.
Without thinking further, he slowly walked inside, only to see a huge sculpted bowl made out of ceramics design located at the middle of a restaurant, a golden large chandelier was hung at every corner of the room, complimenting the design.
Elegant looking waiters moved around, attending to people in suits and gowns who probably looked like rich people.
With utmost discouragement, he looked down at his clothes, they looked dirty, not well kept. Words couldn't describe it.
Just then, he heard his voice, "Elliot, over here." He looked up to see Butler Lee who also dressed elegantly, pointing towards an empty golden chair opposite him.
He walked over to him smartly and sat down.
Butler Lee laughed shortly, "Seems you were interested in the deal after all." He raised an eyebrow, "Pardon me, who wouldn't be interested in riches?"
He asked, waiting for his response, but Elliot kept quiet. He wasn't here for any sort of criticism.
Elliot glared, "Did I come here for any of your criticisms, Lee?" His eyes glistened, mixed with hatred.
Butler Lee was shocked, this was the second time Elliot called him Lee ever since he was born, and it meant he was annoying him.
Butler Lee stammered, "O-of cour-se not."
Immediately, he brought out a blank sheet of paper and placed it on the table before him, while pointing at some spaces, "Sign here, here and here, and it's all done. Though you can go through it if you like."
With clear nervousness that he tried to push at the back of his mind, he carefully picked up the paper, checking out every single sentences from it.
As he kept on looking, a sentence caught his eye, making his heart beat faster, "Was this real? Or it was a joke?" He murmured within himself.
He murmured within himself.Butler Lee noticed the change in Elliot's face, but he couldn't point of finger to it, "Is everything okay?" He quickly asked.Elliot put the paper back to the table and pointed at the same particular sentence, out of eagerness, Butler Lee checked it out and it said, 'whether you go to work or not, you would get to be paid the sum of a million dollars monthly excluding tips and revenue.'Butler Lee raised an eyebrow at him, "So? What's wrong with that?"Elliot looked back at him confused, "I
The floor glittered with marbles, showing the reflection of whoever was in the room. The illuminated lights shone dimly making everywhere look like a fairytale.Elliot drooled with amazement, but did well enough to hide it away from Andrew.Shall we go to the company now, they might want to announce their new Boss?" Andrew asked with a hitched eyebrow.Although, Elliot didn't wanted to leave, but he nodded slightly. 'He was going to come back here' He thought.Andrew led the way out of the humongous house, and they zoomed off in his Maybach.~~~~~~The company looked large, the name 'Harrison Co.Ltd' was largely imprinted on the company, large enough for anyone to see it from a far distance.It looked like it had six storeys, and everything was made out of glass. The doors largely stood elegantly at the middle of the first floor also made out of glass."Shall we go in, Boss?" Andrew asked, and without waiting for his response, he walked in.Slowly, Elliot also walked inside the compan
Curiousity peeked in everyone's eyes, their eyes sparked with interest as they all stared at Elliot and Andrew like they were aliens. They all gathered together still staring at the duo. Very low chatterings were heard by some women.Mr Arnold cleared his throat significantly, "Since you all know, Mr Harrison is now too old to run this company, he decided to hand it over to his son." Mr Arnold said, then pointed at Elliot, "Everyone, meet Mr Elliot Harrison. He will be taking over now.""He had a son? How could this wretched man be his son and become our boss?" A young woman's voice resounded lowly among the crowd, though it was a murmur, unfortunately, it was unknowingly loud enough for everyone including Elliot to hear.Elliot's face turned dark, he was cold and his face was straight with nothing but brutality, he could yank this woman's hair If he wanted to.His mouth twitched, "It is none of your business if he was my father or not." He said, all eyes were on him but he continued
"Can we meet for a drink? I'm so exhausted that I need someone to help me with my problems now." His heart leapt for joy, now she was taking him seriously, unlike before."Okay." He answered, trying not to sound too excited.~~~Hannah stumped her leg carefully on the ground at the restaurant, she was waiting anxiously for Elliot, but he was nowhere to be found."Where is he?" She roared under her breath, her eyes peeking at every side of the room, especially the doors.She gazed at everyone who entered the restaurant thinking it was Elliot.Beads of sweat formed around her head, once again. when she needed him, he was nowhere to be found.Just then, the door opened gently and it was Elliot. Hannah stared at him weirdly, he looked a little bit different than before. His jeans trousers were neatly ironed, his white shirt sparkled neatly, and his shoes were dazzling black and well cleaned.She kept on staring at him a bit weirdly, "What is going on?" She muttered."Was this the Elliot
"Can we go now, I have some other things to do." Hannah said, picking her bag up.Elliot nodded slightly while calling out, "Waiter,"Hannah waved her card up in the air, "I'll pay as usual." "Oh no, I got it this time. You've been paying for quite some time now, this time, I'll pay."Hannah's eyes widened in shock, "What was going on? This was the first time in a few years that he wanted to pay for their food.""What is going on that I don't know about?" She murmured, then she looked up at Elliot and spoke, "Elliot, is everything okay?"Elliot's heart skipped a beat, why was she curious about what's happening, this was getting awkward for both of them.Elliot stared into thin air, until he was jolted from his day dream by Hannah, "Elliot," She called out curiously. "What's wrong with you lately?" Hannah couldn't keep in her curiosity any longer, this was beginning to get weird, even for her. How did an unknown young man come from nowhere and call him his Young Master, then all of a
Elliot slumped on the chair tiredly, he faced Andrew, "Is there anymore for today?" He asked. Elliot could only be himself in the presence of Andrew and Hannah. "Yes, you have two more conference meetings for the day, then we can get some food and head home."Elliot sighed, but then, his phone vibrated. Curiosity peeked at him when he saw the doctor's contact on his phone."Hello?" "Mr.Harrison, long time, no see. How have you been?" The doctor chuckled slightly. "It's been good," Elliot quickly chipped in and continued, "Anything wrong that you called?""Oh yes," He sounded as if he just remembered his reason for calling, "Your Nana keeps on repeating your name for the past few hours."Elliot's brow creased in confusion, "My name?" He asked again."Yes, yes" He repeated, then cleared his throat and continued, "I think you need to visit her to see what's happening." The doctor added.A frown landed on his face, "What could possibly be wrong with his Nana?" He thought to himself. H
Elliot ignored his question, "I'm taking my Nana home today, hope that's okay?" He asked.The doctor waved his hands up in the air, "I was hoping you'd ask. Yes of course, she has fully recovered after the surgery, so she's free to go home.""Alright," Elliot held her hands gently, pulling her out of the bed.They walked out gently, Elliot faced Andrew who already dozed off on the chair. "Andrew," He yelled, "Let's go."Nana looked at Andrew suspiciously, her eyes scrutinized the more as she looked at his every step elegantly in front of them."Who is he?" She finally spoke out, pointing at Andrew.Elliot hugged his Nana, "Sooner, I'll introduce you to him, please keep calm." From the very start, his Nana was very inquisitive, she will dig into one's life if you really want to be someone close to Elliot, she cherished Elliot so much, that she didn't allowed anything horrible to happen to him.Elliot thought on how he would tell his Nana everything about him owning a company and being
"Of course Nana, I just answered that question for the third time now," He said with a hint of mockery.Her legs were wobbly, her brain was already beginning to hurt a little bit. This was just too much surprises in one day for her.She needed to sit down or she could collapse. Noticing her plight, Elliot led her to the nearest couch in which she sat.As soon as she sat, the chairs were extra bouncy than the ones at the hospital, the texture was soft and of amazing quality. She looked up at Elliot slowly, "Elliot, how did all of this happen?" She asked him, her face full of curiosity.Elliot signaled to both Andrew and the Driver to excuse them, "Excuse us." He commanded straightforward and they nodded in compliance. "Nana, I've never told you my past, right?" The first word came out from his mouth, his heart panged. He has never told anyone including his Nana about his past. He couldn't get himself to talk about his past for this whole years, but now he was ready. Ready to talk ab
He rolled his eyes, 'Oh great, now they were really close and making promises, huh?' He thought."Well, don't you worry Nana, she's at her family home and would be back soon." He replied.Out of a sudden, she came closer to him, stroking his hair gently and sweetly making him moan softly in pleasure, "I've told you several times, if you don't feel comfortable calling me Nana, you could just call me mother if that's okay with you." She stopped, then continued, "I've been taking care of you since you were little, you can just call me mother if you want."Elliot purred in satisfaction, his tense system and emotions calmed down a little bit. His worries flew away like a bird and he closed his eyes, trying to sink in every sweet moment they had."Mother," He called out for the very first time in a very long time. The word sent chills down his stomach and it made him felt a little awkward. He hasn't called anyone 'mother' for a very long time. And now that he was doing it, it felt somehow
Elliot walked towards the car and sat beside Andrew, with bulging eyes, he asked, "That's bad. What if Hannah or Lady Hart or any of her relatives that knows me watched the news?" He searched Andrew's eyes worriedly but it doesn't seem like Andrew was concerned. He just wore a nonchalant face when something bad just happened to him. "Why don't you seem concerned?" Elliot asked out of the blue, staring at Andrew's eyes trying to fathom what he was currently thinking. Andrew shrugged a little bit, "What we have at hand is definitely way more worse than Hannah, or her parents or relatives seeing you on TV."Elliot stared at Andrew for some damn time, now he was confusing him. Come to think of it, he has been speaking indifferently ever since he called him this morning."Oh," He tapped his head hard, "And what did you want to tell me, that you claimed was so urgent?""We need to get home first, what I want to tell you might shake you a bit." He spoke , but he never left the road.Elliot
"Well, it felt great and the opposite at the same time. Everything seemed too excess to me, when I knew that the less privileged needed those things and I had the excess of those things." Then he looked around the people for some time and continued, "So that's why I thought that I would do my utmost best to help the less privileged, even if it isn't in my position to do so."An uproar of applause rounded the air, and the cameras did their work effectively too. The Smile on the crowd's face made his heart warm up a little. He knew what it felt like to feel hungry, and desperately needed money for it. He stood up, and bowed in respect to their applause.The interviewer smiled brightly, in all his years of interviewing and questioning rich people or celebrities, they have never opened up to him or the whole crowd like this. He could notice that in Elliot's voice, there was no such thing as proudness, he couldn't feel any hint of proudness in his tone. Plus, he was subjected to humility.
And that moment, she stood up too, "Then I'm not calling her to call it off. Whether you like it or not, she's coming here." She replied, then walked out on him hurriedly and went to her room, then the sound of the room closing hardly enveloped the air.He glanced at the table in frustration, then his eyes moved over to her phone lying there uselessly.Then an accomplished smile crept up his lips as he picked it up and dialed her number. "Hello?" She spoke, the sound of whooshing air was heard at the background of the calling."You can turn."Lady Hart turned her head in confusion, and she sneered before she spoke, "What in the hell are you talking about?" He spoke gently, making his every word sound creasy, "I said you can turn back, Lady Hart." He answered back.A strand of sweat lingered around his forehead. He couldn't fathom what she would do next, but he stood his stance. If he could just avoid her coming here, maybe his wife wouldn't die like she did in his dream."I'm almost
"How is she?" Lady's Hart's voice spoke fluently at the other side of the phone, her voice as lively as ever.Disgust and nothing but hate flushed down his system. If his wife really died, he was going to make sure he finished this woman before he died. Even if it means going to jail or getting killed for it.After hearing her voice being lively, his hands shook. Her voice and words made him remember his wife. That was how she talked, so lively!"Hello?" Lady Hart's voice spoke yet again after she waited for some time and didn't hear any response."You there?" She repeated, but an ounce of pity wasn't evident in her voice."She's dead." He managed to say, then smashed the phone against the floor angrily. He didn't care what she would feel, but still, he knew she wouldn't care since she was pitiless. She was nothing but a nonchalant, wicked, money-loved mother and mother in law to them. And to Hannah, she wasn't the perfect grandmother. Ever since Hannah was young, he would remember w
She held her head in pains, her mouth looked painfully twitched and her eyes were closed tight, not even opening for a second."Honey, are you okay?" He asked curiously, he ran to where she was. Her back rested unto the wall hardly, she wriggled her hands and head every now and then.She ignored his question, it felt like heavy drumming was happening in her head, and she tried speaking but she just couldn't.Mr Hart gazed backwards only to see Lady Hart already seated on the dining chair once again, sipping orange juice while giggling over her phone nonchalantly. She acted as if they didn't exist.He sneered, right now, he didn't have time for this woman. He dragged his wife in pain, she was unconscious already and her body was heavier than what he thought, her breathing was unstable and it felt like life was slowly slipping out of her.He was getting convinced that something happened, "Honey?" He muttered to her ears, but unfortunately, there was no response for a long time.He wiggl
Lady Hart breathed in indifferently, closed her eyes and opened it only to see Mr Hart breathing heavily opposite her. She twitched her mouth downwards, she tried calming the anger that brewed in her, though it wasn't what she expected, it still looked all fun to her. "Mr Hart, calm down. What happened?" She asked, pretending to care about whatever he fussed about. She tried adding salts to the wound, probably, it would get him infuriated.He breathed in, "You are not worthy to be called a grandmother!" He scowled at her, his figure was already getting intimidating."Now that was way past her league." She thought within herself.Her eyes turned deadly, this wasn't a joke anymore. How could he talk nonsense to her face? Wasn't she intimidated by her?"Enough!" She yelled back, the food shook on the table vigorously.Mrs Hart hid in her own shadows, she wasn't conscious of what she would do. Now, both her husband and mother were furious and she was totally lost in her thoughts.Mr Har
Calm down, Honey. I was just furious, that's all." He said in a soft whisper, trying to kiss her cheek gently but she shoved him off, moaning softly."You just said it was all my fault. When we both know it's not." She explained, still in a furious voice."Anger and yelling isn't the nearest solution right now. I suggest we just call Lady Hart and inform her about what's going on. After hearing our explanation, she'll have no other choice than to tell her to come back home."Mrs Hart sniffed in gently, nodding her head. Then she brought out her phone, dialing Lady Hart's number. After a number of beeping, Lady Hart's voice came through later on, "What do you want?" She asked nonchalantly."Can we speak over dinner tonight?" She asked in a straight tone. Her once vibrant tone sounded angry and wasn't in a good mood.~~~~~Later at night,"The lasagnas are ready!" Mrs Hart announced, putting the tray of food on the table. The aroma of the lasagna and herbal tea which was Lady Hart's fav
"Honey, wasn't he Nicholas? The same tall one that dated Hannah when they were still in school?" Mr Hart spoke with disbelief evident in his tone, staring darkly at his wife.She couldn't get herself to say yes or no. All her whole life, she believed Nicholas was one of the perfect men for her daughter. But when Hannah came home, informing her of her break up with him, she was devastated.She nodded slowly, before coming to her senses, "Come on darling, Is that the only Nicholas we know? The Nicholas that dated our daughter was way too nice to do that." She concluded.Her husband ignored her, since he knew he was all for the money, she wouldn't want to believe that Nicholas could do such a thingMr Hart faced Andrew, "Did you get to meet Him? Could you describe his facial features and body size?"Andrew nodded, then closed his eyes to remember the man. All of a sudden, he opened his eyes, "He had thick black hair and brows. Looking like a model, the left side of his lips curved a litt
