INVESTIGATION

Mr. Frederick sat silently in the interrogation room, both of his hands cuffed to the chair and his head hung low as two police officers stood over him.

"Tell us more about what happened to Mary, Mr. Frederick," one of the officers in charge of the investigation asked, but Frederick stayed silent.

Mr. Frederick could already tell this wasn't going to end well for him. He had no idea how long he'd been in this room, but he could tell this wouldn't end in his favor if he did not give these men what they wanted. The only problem was that he still did not want to.

"We need all the information we can get from you regarding this case, Mr. Frederick. This matter is proving to be more complicated than we thought," the second policeman said, his eyes staring down intently at the man sitting before him.
