36: THE GAME TURNED

Andrew remembered his school days. Where his colleagues always had some quality that distinguished them, he was the only one who did not identify with anything. Maybe in being the poorest.

It was several days that Andrew dreamed of being able to be special in something. He wanted to be able to run fast. He wished he could be a good fighter, or he wished he could be the biggest flirt in school. But he didn't fit any of those qualities, not even being the funniest.

“Hey, Andrew! Come here and finish off these f*cking vegetables I hate to eat!” shouted Jimmy in the school cafeteria.

Andrew didn't worry too much about it, it was food after all. Food was the least he had at home. What bothered him the most about having to eat those vegetables was when his face was pushed into the plate.

Jimmy did this in the company of many other colleagues. For it was fun watching Andrew eat the vegetables as if he was really enjoying them.
