9: I’M HUNGRY

"How is going?" Had to repeat the voice on the other end of the phone.

This time it was a male voice a little stiff.

"Yes. I remember talking about my wish," Andrew wanted to know if that was true. Had he really become master of the world?

"I want the world!" "I'll give you the quote that belongs to you. From now on, we'll put you where you belong. What do you want to do?" that man's voice invited him to tell the most intimate secrets he had about himself, but he felt that this man knew everything about himself.

"You know. I've been hungry since yesterday. I would like some food if possible."

"All you have to do is buy it. Take that phone that you have in your hand and after you've bought everything you wanted, pay with this phone."

"What? Nonsense. I'm going to buy anything I want with this phone? From what I can see, it's not even the most advanced. How do you expect me to buy anything with this?"

"Did you buy that phone?" The man's voice didn't sound irritated at all, he seemed to genuinely want to know if Andrew had bought the phone.

"At the-"

"Ah, then pay with it. Trust us"

"But how am I going to talk to you?"

"Ah, you're right. So here we go, choose a place to eat and I'll find you a good place there"

"Ah, really? Oh, awesome!" Andrew went out of the subway tunnels and took a deep breath as he faced that cold night wind. He had the phone close to his ear so he could hear everything.

(Shit. Where am I going to eat? I don't know. It's hard to know. I've never eaten anywhere other than my house and the street. At the pizzeria also I tried some leftovers. But that shouldn't count)

"Look, I'm looking at a building with a huge screen," it was the screen that had shown the news about the wedding of Alice and Alonso Magnum "I want to eat in that building."

"Say no more. Our team is contacting their staff. Just arrive at the door, as soon as you are met by one of the hosts at the door "say you are the ‘guest’ and wait for them to direct you to your floor."

"What do you mean my floor?" Andrew spoke confused by those expressions.

"But what reaction is that? If you really own the world, wouldn't it be too simple to eat somewhere in this building? Let yourself be directed and if you want you can hang up. Enjoy the trip and if you need us, call. Or we will call again."

"Block!" the little orange phone hung up.

(Now I just need to get to the door of the building. I hope they don't hit me. After all, I'm still a beggar. My clothes are not the most appropriate)

"Mister Andrew, follow me. We'll put you in the best view possible," one of the attendants called Andrew even before he reached the door of the building.

(Looking up close this is high as fuck. F*ck, the blood is rushing to my head)

The attendant asked Andrew to follow him without touching Andrew. He kept his distance because he didn't know if Andrew would want him to get close.

"You can continue to follow me. We know that what you want is to eat as quickly as possible and our Chefs are already working on the dishes they will bring you." The attendant opened a golden seal, sealed with red velvet thread. It looked very fancy.

An elevator opened through the marble wall of the red-carpeted room. An expensive smell came out from inside. The smell itself had a price. It was a nice place.

"You may accompany me, Sir Andrew. I am in charge of putting you in your chair. You will like the table we have prepared for you," Inside the elevator was another attendant who was smiling at Andrew.

Andrew had ridden in elevators before. But nothing that had more than 10 floors.

That elevator had a digital panel to put the numbers on. After the attendant inside had typed, the elevator began to move.

Andrew could smell himself inside that automatic box. And now he understood why it was difficult to be around him.

"FISSHHH!" from inside the elevator, a fragrant air began to enter, as if there was an air conditioner in that space.

"Nice. This place is fantastic," Andrew was enjoying the place.

"Never come to 'Made in Gold' Sir?" The attendant was much younger than he was and looked dumbfounded as he asked that question.

"No. This is my first time. I was just hungry."

"Ah, fantastic Sir. Then let me open the protection hatch. You will be able to see the city at night and the moment when we get close to the clouds."

"What? Clouds? Up in the sky? Are we going to get close to the clouds?"

"Yes, Sir. But don't worry because you are a VIP customer and if something were to happen to you, my life and that of my family would be at risk," the attendant smiled so that Andrew wouldn't worry about the possibility of them falling.

A few minutes passed and Andrew was scared because the numbers had already passed 80 and were still rising.

"We have arrived, Sir! I will go ahead of you to guide you and make you comfortable."

(I forgot for a while that I look like a beggar. How strange)

[AH!] Andrew screamed as he looked up after the elevator had opened.

"But we are close to the clouds, they seem to be only 5 meters away!"

They were on the top floor of that building. A gigantic terrace with a small runway for private jets.

A table was set up in the centre of that place and the Attendant continued to lead Andrew through the great space that was the top floor. It was completely empty and there was only his table there, with candles that were covered by a dome and lit the table.

"Padd, padd, padd," Andrew's steps when he got close to his table made a soft noise.

"What a long table. I'm having a feast for the first time in my life."

"What? It's good that you're lying. Because we'll bring the best dishes," the waiter had become fond of Andrew.

"Bring it on. I'm hungry and I'm ready," Andrew rubbed his small belly as he yawned sitting in that leather chair with a feathered interior.
