Chapter 40. Manipulation

Ryker's eyes gleamed with maniacal intensity. "You're no match for The Syndicate. We've infiltrated every level of government and society."

Xavier stepped forward, his gun trained on Ryker. "We'll take you down, no matter how deep you've infested."

Ryker chuckled. "You're brave, Xavier. But bravery won't save you."

Sofia moved to flank Ryker, her eyes locked on his. "We've exposed your operations. Your empire is crumbling."

Ryker's smile faltered for a moment before he regained composure. "You think you've won? You've only just begun to play the game."

Maximus charged forward, his gun blazing. "Time to end this."

The team engaged in a fierce firefight, dodging bullets and taking down The Syndicate's operatives.

Maya shielded Emma, her gun trained on Ryker's guards.

Victor's voice echoed through their comms. "I've hacked the building's security. You've got a clear path to the exit."
