The vast plain stretched out before William and his undead serpents, a seemingly endless expanse of green grass and wildflowers. The serenity of the landscape was at odds with the sense of foreboding that hung in the air. William knew that the dungeon’s trials would not be so easily discerned; the calm was only a prelude to the coming storm.

As they moved across the plain, William noticed strange formations in the distance—mounds of earth that seemed unnaturally placed. He approached one cautiously, his serpents coiled and ready. The mound was covered in thick, tangled vines that pulsed with a faint, green light. William reached out, brushing the vines aside to reveal an entrance leading underground.

“This must be another part of the dungeon,” William said, peering into the dark tunnel. “We need to be prepared for anything.”
