17. Position

"Grandma, we had a deal that I would have the position of director if I struck a deal with Starkcom, why are you switching it up now?" Clarissa said with a sad voice.

Lady Storm was sitting in a throne-like chair in the big living room, Charles was standing beside her with a smile on his face.

Clarissa looked heartbroken as her eyes reddened from the sadness and betrayal she felt at the moment.

'I knew they wouldn't give her the position easily,' William, who stood beside her, thought to himself.

"Clarissa, we won't let the wife of a loser take over such an important position in our family's business." Charles chimed in.

"What image of our family would we be sending if you are leading?" he continued, asking a question.

"Let me help you answer it. Shame, Disgrace, pitiful.. those are the images we would project of ourselves if you are the director." Charles scoffed at the end of his statement.
