For a moment, Laxus just stood there, struggling between the feeling of relief and surprise.

“Are you going to get in?” Bowman asked Laxus when Laxus stood without moving.

Laxus hadn’t thought that he would not only be getting released, but he would also be getting a free ride back to his apartment. Heck, he hadn’t even thought that he would be getting released by Bowman, the one man he had vowed to stay away from. Laxus had thought deeply about who could have possibly wanted to set him free, and not once did his mind go to Bowman.

Well, if Bowman had saved him from jail and those cruel bullies, riding in his car was something Laxus could certainly do. At least, this time around, he wasn’t using his tough-looking bodyguard to intimidate him.

Laxus went into Bowman’s car and they drove off.

“Thank you,” Laxus eventually said after a while, and he meant it from the depth of his heart, because if it wasn’t for Bowman, he would have rotted in jail and no one would have saved him, not even

Luther was not keen about the Kinkaid company; he had other desires, and as long as he continued to enjoy the benefits of being a Kinkaid son, and also, the returns from the company. Linnie was having trouble sleeping as she paced about her room in her silky expensive robe. She and Luther had separate bedrooms right from the beginning of their marriage, and she could literally count the number of times they have had sex.“How am I supposed to get pregnant?” Linnie would often ask herself whenever she was being reminded that she should have birthed a Kinkaid child for Luther. In truth, Linnie hadn’t put in extra effort to get Luther to bed her, because she was more focused on getting herself into the Kinkaid company than having a baby.
