The moment Cassandra said those words, Brenda’s face soured.

Brenda was stuck in between the devil and the red sea.

Clarine was her very good friend, no other person had ever understood her like Clarine would.

In fact, the best definition for both if then was calling them sisters. Other than that, no other words qualified best.

"Mom, what are you saying?” Clarine voiced immediately.

“What! Isn't it right to teach her the right approach to life as a dutiful elder should?"

"Besides, you should always watch the company you keep! I don’t mind you being friends with Brenda, but I’m really afraid that this piece of trash she calls a husband will later ruin her, and I don't want it to affect my precious daughter.
